@mahadragon Oops, nevermind, I see this is 17/17. Sorry. Still, I've taken trip to Thailand. I will post my trip. I will not include nearly this much video of the airport and airplane. The shot of the lil kid was touching.
I've go married in Cambodia in 1995, came back to the states in July 1997. My family visited Cambodia twice in 2000 and the latest in 2007. Again thanks for the video. KhmerArmy, Are you going back in 2010?
Pochentong Int'l Airport (before changing to Phnom Penh Int'l Airport), it was chaos. Police were asking for money, taxi drivers pulled you back and forth, I almost lost my passport. Back then, if you want to go to Kampong Som, to be really safe, you need a police car ascort. I remembered we hired police car escort to Kampong Som and Kampot. I learned from my experience, for a country to prosper and develop, that country must have peace and security. Cambodia is a lot better now.
Thanks for sharing your fun trip, KhmerArmy. It's difficult to leave your relatives, and friends behind, isn't it? Anyway after watching your video, I have noticed improvement in Cambodia, the roads are paved, more hotels, vila, and condo's are being built. Airport is a lot better in term of service. Security is very good. Let me tell you, in 1994 after I gratulated from college (USA), I went back to Cambodia, I lived and worked there for 3 years until 1997. I remembered when I landed in
It looks like a lot of Cambodian life has gone from year-Zero -to- 2009 in 34 years. simply amazing. The future is on the right track. I hope to visit the country someday. These little video's help. I find it & its people simply amazing. Very proud people.
first, thank for sharing the vids, it is really exciting to your vids. i was in Cambodia in Jan too. for the airport, i would say, it doesn't seem to have been much upgraded. those are just really small terminals compared to neighbor countries. kinda regret i am for having not taken vids for my own, but i did take quite alot of pictures of PNH. anyway home sweet homeland.. Cambodia
Nice bro, thanks for sharing. It looks more modern now since the last time I went. Did they updated the airport much? I remember back then getting into the plane was by bus now seems like a terminal. The streets and stuff seem better.
This is lame who wants to look at airport, airplane, runway, etc? Your title says "Cambodia Trip 2009" where's the trip?
