  • Chuck norris would ruin that dyno using it as his treadmill

  • -hard on tires-

  • so how did the dyno break? it looked like the floor just popped up a bit.

  • why does everyone with a camera LOOK AWAY from the action when something happens? BOOM "oh look, that's a lovely blouse!".

  • @kenfo0 tahahahahahahhaha so true man.

  • If I'm not mistaken doesn't he say "996" at about 1:08-1:09? Someone may have already said that. I just noticed that the title said 936 but you can clearly hear the guy say 996. Just asking.

  • @PFCmccain Maybe it is 996 lbs of torque?

  • @CyborgbobaFett Yeah but 936hp with 996 lbs of torque wouldn't seem right. With that much hp, there HAS to be way more torque.

  • @7707Allen it probably has waaay more torque than that...but the dyno gave out before it could reach the peak

  • @CyborgbobaFett Either way, I am definately impressed. Very nice ride.

  • now thats a truck

  • What gets me is why are all of these people goin out and buyin diesels and putting chips and lifts when a diesel is meant to work and be able to pull the gates off of hell..

  • @propst1166 well first of a chip would only give it more power and second u can still tow, haul& pull with a lift so.......

  • @psykho15 yes that is true but the trucks where im from cant pull a 5th wheel or gooseneck and they need a 2ft drop to tow a tag along..

  • @propst1166 theres HD 5th wheel adaptor trailers, sounds kind of funny but they work. but with all the torque and lift they could handle the trailer pulling a trailer. just be more cautious on turns

  • @propst1166 because they are a reliable (reasonably) preomance base you can build a daily driven cummins makeing 700rwhp and not have problems and still get 15mpg

how many 12sec 8000lb gas trucks do you know of

  • @punk531 I went to Bully Dog's "Dog Days of Summer" (where this was filmed) a few years back. A guy took a Ford F350 Quad Cab from 95 or 96, stuffed a 12V Cummins into it and 2 turbos off of an airplane. I still have the video of his truck hitting 944 hp and 1400 somethine ft/lbs (they said the dyno wasn't calibrated correctly, normally it dyno'd higher). He had driven it up from Logan UT that day (200+ miles) and gotten 18 mpg on the road. Awesome. Just awesome.

  • @aTuWitty SOUNDS COOL , POST IT ON HERE SO WE CAN ALL SEE ,I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT ,

  • @punk531 Also, he had 36" tires (? I think, guesstimating) and said it ran 10's on the quarter. Just insane.

  • Mystycfm your an idiot,if you dont know anything about diesels than dont be posting shit you retard, and its a straight 6 300,obviously i know more than you so dont question me on that.

  • @82cmb If your going to insult me you can spell my name right.

  • Mistycim you truly are an idiot, just cause its a v8 dont mean shit, you ever heard of a inline 6 300 gas engine, and have you ever heard of a 3208 cat(8 meaning v8),dumb shit.

  • @82cmb the inline six you refer to could also be the 306 in fords, I know that cause my stepdad owned one with that in it. Far as you go with calling me dumb shit don`t prove all that much, I don`t know a ton about diesels cause plainly, what the heck does it matter? Nothing I say will matter on a website cause all you`ll do is jack your jaw all day, send me some links to some info proving i`m wrong then I will apologize, till then, keep your trash talking bull crap off a site, its rather crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @mystycim the duramax is more of a diesel than your fucking cummins , whats cummins got for 2011 650 ft/lbs, whats duramax got 765 ft/lbs , the days of inline diesels in light trucks are over,

  • @CBCOlympics If you say so man, but out of Chevy ford and dodge, what was the real diesel made? Cummins, chevy and ford are V8 gas engines pretty much converted to Diesel so yeah, slam all you want it don`t prove much of anything.

  • @mystycim cummins are inline 6's dude.

  • @CRFmxracer Yeah I know that. That is common knowledge.

  • @mystycim lol the duramax is built from the ground up to be a diesel , i dont know how else to explain it, as for the ford i couldnt tell you , but the duramax is a true diesel.

  • @CBCOlympics Post a link for me and i`ll be more then happy to apologize. I like Chevy and Ford and Dodge, I give shit to all of them but not to the extent of calling another person who owns on a dumb ass or to that effect, that`s just stupid and proves you yourself are the dumb ass.

  • @mystycim hhahahahahhahahah dude he's right duramaxs are meant to be diesel.

  • @CBCOlympics Can you find a link for me to look at? I would like to be proven wrong on that. Don`t know about the fords, always thought the powerstroke sounded funny for a name cause duh, its diesel. Were they get their torque monster rep from.

  • @mystycim look at the duramax and powerstroke blocks there twice the size of a v8 gas engine and cummins is a inline 6 not a v8 thats why the cummins is famous for high torque numbers you really dont know anything at all

  • @cummins59ish I know that Cummins are inline 6s dude, Ive known that for years. Quite easy to tell cause it has a single fuel raid, single exhaust and a single intake, were as V6/V8 anything has 2 sides. Also, What can you really do with 936 Horsepower? I had no idea it takes almost 1thousand HP to pull a horse trailer, or tow a tractor or even drive through snow, my S10 pickup does all that just fine, and It has NO upgrades or needs any to do it.

  • @mystycim your still wrong a v8 diesel has a single exhaust unless its got twin turbos and you need that much power because its jus all around bad ass not like he is driving that truck with it turned up all the way and you must not be pullin a big trailer if you have a s10 haha

  • @cummins59ish I don`t know about the exhaust and intakes of a Duramax cause I don`t look at them but a Cummins I have, and I don`t pull a huge trailer with my S10 lol, would kill it but I know it can pull decent weight but the point is, I don`t need no 1K in HP to do it. But yeah, rephrasing what I said a little bit ago, a huge trailer no, can`t do but horses I can pull and things of a decent weight of course, but none the less, I don`t need 1K HP for it. Waste of money and time.

  • @mystycim this is a sponsored truck it its a more environmentally safe performance and is also just cool who has a truck making 2000ft/lb of torque and 1000hp its just like the people who put 8/71 blowers on their big block Chevys

this isnt a daily driven truck its a toy not build for pulling a trailer

  • @mystycim there is a large difference no spark plugs 23000 fuel rail psi 30lbs of boost 6 head bolts per cylinder cummins makes diesel motors its a separate company from dodge that makes just diesel motors there is no identical internal part between the dodge gas motors and the cummins 5.9l

  • @punk531 I know that man, trust me. Diesels use compression to run the motor were gas uses the spark plugs to fire the fuel, Though the stats are neat to know, thanks.

  • @RovingLandRover woowh toyota is not the most reliable well unless u like having ur accelerator pushed to the floor for u!

  • Ford always contracts out there HP motors, the 6.7 PEUGOT motor, the yamaha 3.0 and 4.6 L in the SHO's, the Roush motors in the Mustangs and SVT motors from Roush as well.

Gm just does a better job in house than other companies, the SS division, and Pontiac showcase there best, not contracted out. Not sure on the Duramax, I believe CAT had a hand in designing it from the get go.

  • @racinboy30 sorry to say but the duramax is mainly ISUZU

  • This is a really stupid question and i know im going to get so many bad comments. but what kinda of truck is that?

  • Nko6lbz... Allison is Allison ya stupid fuck, not GM, it is its own company. Both the Allison and the TorqueShift are awesome trannies so get the fuck over yourself

  • daymn! sick truck. good sound.

  • When you get the chance, change the oil in a 6.7 cummins then in a new dmax, a dmax runs so much cleaner than the cummins and gets way better fuel economy. Did you guys also realize that allisons were put in m1 tanks, the same series that is in the trucks.

  • When you get the chance, change the oil in a 6.7 cummins then in a new dmax, a dmax runs so much cleaner than the cummins and gets way better fuel economy. Did you guys also realize that allisons were put in m1 tanks, the same series that is in the trucks.

  • @nk06lbz, theres no way an allison will out preform a torque shift. the torque shift is the first tranny to be installed with a multi disc convertor from the factory, that torque shift behind the ^.$ is no diffrent then the one behind the 6.0, if im not mistaken there are numberous 6.4s running over 600hp on stock trannies, cant do that with an allison. ford got it right and is truely an American company not owned by the govt. Your the idiot my friend

  • @freaf172 actually you can but if your like my friend and run it in a truck pull then you fuck up a allison

  • @20ALERO02 yes, made in America by Isuzu dealers, the duramax will and always be a Japanese engine.....Seems like nothing is All-American anymore eh?

  • @dukey497 another clueless idiot spoutin shit around you know absolutely nothing about.GM and isuzu were a joint venture to start the DURAMAX brand of engines. GM later bought isuzu 40% share, now gm owns duramax, and its built in moraine, OH.

  • @GarrettKeetley i find that completly ironic cause Durmax engines are made by Isuzu....

  • @dukey497 Not anymore. They are american made now

  • @dukey497 Lol there designed by izuzu but built in ohio the japanese jokes are ol just except that ford and dodge suck balls

  • Sumbody hit a buzzer this dude doesnt kno shit! They are not designed by isuzu read a diesel performance magazine once since u obviously have never opened one of these bad bitches up. It was a joint venture by GM and Isuzu, as well as IHI, Garrett, Bosch, AC Delco, Mahle, etc, etc. No "one company" designed it, nor did 2 companies design it. The engines are assembled in the US from parts from many countries. Japanese content is just a small piece of the puzzle.

  • @Dieselbadboy14 all cars have foreign parts in them no matter where they are made. majority of the dmax is american. block is poured in ohio, etc. like you said, parts of the puzzle. but the dmax was in fact designed by isuzu and was a joint venture between the two. designed by isuzu, but then bought completely by GM. if these idiots new anything, they'd know that powerstroke is mexican and cummisnn has lots of parts from china on it....

  • @ktmyamaha01 Thats exactly right. sry i failed to say that isuzu actually designed it but yes u are correct. gettin tired of all these ppl on here who have no clue what they are actually talkin bout yet they think they do lol. keep the truth movin forward lol

  • @Dieselbadboy14 its all good. glad other people know what they're talking about

  • @ktmyamaha01 you do realize DMAX is the only truck thats now completely metric? also cummins blocks are made in south america and mexico not china. The Dmax is a sick motor I would love to own one but they cost too much and cost WAY to much to get high horsepower out of. I own 2 cummins 12v and 24v common rail. Any Diesel publication will tell you Cummins is the best designed diesel engine ever built and every other company has been trying to catch up to to their power and longevity.

  • @ogre Love the Duramax! I own one and its great but you can beat the inline's. they are the only one's I hear mechanics call Bullet Proof!

  • DirtyMax FTW!!!!

Powerstroke 7.3 can suck a dirty dick and die.

  • @nobodynoz11134 yeh man your just the shit....

  • So this is entertainment in certain parts of america?

  • @troy12n kind of its really just an event to see what our cars or trucks are pushin for power you want American entertainment its these bad boys on the track!

  • @tylersfarms GM

  • @paintballin

Hey the 7.3 was made my international i'm pretty sure

  • damn, thats a sick ass duramax, my cummins hat is off to that one

  • Turboladerschlauch geplatzt

  • Cummins is good so is duramax but the dodges trannies suck and the allison for the duramax is just sexy... fords setup just sucks completely and ive helped my dad work on them and right after we fixed the turbo on it the damn thing breaks again...

  • @boopeeps stock yes the allison is better but it wasnt meant for shit loads of power. Once you start adding the tranny is as good as the parts you made it out of.

  • I'll keep my kitty cat

  • Bigjimmy0922: The allison trans is NOT the best out there. Fords torqshit trans that comes on the 08-10 f-series has been the best stock trans to handle a shit tone of power so far. maybe after market allison trans can handle a shit tone of power.

  • @powerstrokeguy05 ya thats why all the big truck companies out there use allison because they suck??? Pick up a mag once in awhile and read some shit

  • @boopeeps Yea allison is th best tranny ! No contest! The Man imagine a cummins in a chevy body with that allison transmission!! thats worthbuying

  • duracraps suck its all about internationals and cummins

  • Comment removed

  • man that took for ever for his turbo boost?... likes whats the point to all that? i personally like on our f550 )stock) you stomp on it listen to the turbo wind for a few seconds then it shifts ahhh what a nice sound

  • @1997FordProbeGT Say's the person that owns a Probe. Oh sorry, a probe GT. Can't forget the GT part...

  • @1997FordProbeGT I sure hope our not sayn im a powestroke owner. i knw better than that. That kid doesnt know a damn thing about that truck. im friends with the guy that built that truck and several 1000+hp dmaxs and i wouldnt drive a powerstroke. I drive cummins

  • To me it looks like he broke his drive shaft.

  • this is the youtube channel owners truck lol

  • they sold it like only 4 years ago

  • y does everyone gotta bicker about which diesel is better, yes everyone has a favorite, but the way i see it if it works and it does the job well than that engine is just fine

  • @rc102391 All diesels destroy gassers now and they're American, that's all that matters

  • @Jay500500500 actualy only about 5% of the diesels in the world are in america

  • @rc102391 ohh look the dodge is pullin out the chevy ohh the ford god stuck emagin that, u can get stuck in anyhting and as long as ur in a good spot u can pull it out with just about anything!

  • 06 isnt a long time

  • no they still do

  • CUMMINS WOULD PISS OVER THIS

  • Any truck and tranny will last forever if you treat and maintain it properly. But I've owned ford and chevy, never had a problem with either. Never owned a dodge tho, not in any hurry really...

  • @powerstroke734life Wow you are stupid. you obviously know nothing about that particular truck or anything high performance for that matter. So why dont you just go about your life thinkin your powerstroke is badass.

  • the title has 936 but the guy in the vid said 996? WTF?

  • In one way yes and another way no. Adaptive learning makes it one of the smoothest shifting Modified transmissions out there. There are stand alone controllers for the Allison now if you don't like the adaptive learning and want full manual control.

  • Commercial Allisons are where it's at. Too many issues with the light duty pickups. Probably why I'm going with a zf6 or 5r110 which is fully electronic with its standalone tcu. As far as duramaxs go they are owned by isuzu and gm pays for their engine so they are no different from ford or dodge until 2011 for fords scorpion.

  • gmc owns isuzu.....

  • The 5R110 is a much better choice, the ZF6's are crap and like to break with power.

  • @Supra2jtarga who do you think desguined the 6.7 ? PEUGOT not ford . duramax brand is owned by GM.

  • lol i know allisons are the best but guess what. my fathers 2006 chev duramax with a banks kit tranny went, not surprised from the way he drivesXD

  • lol the dyno was probably like "oh look another truck" and laughed... now its like "oh wait that was a GMC" and cries in pain

  • @theflashjaxx a duramax is the engine chevy puts in their diesels..

  • @thaedgebrid yes and?

  • If you go to the trouble of building up a Tranny, the Allison is head and shoulders above the little car transmissions in Dodge and Ford Automatics! Have you even seen an Allison compared to a Ford or Dodge Auto !! They're huge !!

  • Size has little to do with it, as of 05 Ford claimed the most durable tranny of all light duty diesels, its rated for ove 1200ft lbs, the allison is around 950 to 1100 max and the dodges are like a punny 750. and as of 09 the tranny behind the 6.4s is bullet proof, rated for 1500lbs + all in a tranny less than 175 pounds. the allison still weighs 300+ pounds wet haha

  • The big "problem" with the Allison is that the clutch packs aren't filled to their capacity from the factory!!(Hello Allison!!) The Stock Allison is ready for serious power when the clutch packs are filled up to what they'll hold(almost 2x in some). Once this simple improvement is done on the Allison, it will hold more than the 5R110 Ford physically can. The bigger size of the bearings, shafts, case, etc of the Allison pull ahead of the

    5R110 Ford transmissions Physical capacity.

  • Not true the input and output shafts in the 5R110 are 1/8 of an inch thicker than the Allison 1000D-E series. the problem witj the Allison in GM vehicles is that they are filled with GM clutches and bands and seals and torque converter what not if they had put a straight production Allison parts they would be amazing. thats why the clutch packs seam unfilled, because there is twice the volume to an Allison clutch and steel than a GM model. GM has terrible small parts.

  • Exactly, the stock clutches in the Allison leave much room for more clutches to be added and holding power to be increased. With simple upgrades it holds 1000+ RWHP easily.

  • @freaf172 allison is GM dipshit.

  • @freaf172 leave the truck stock and the allison will out perform the torque shift anyday. i would love to see a torque shift behind a dmax. that poor trannie would get twisted to pieces.

  • iv grossed 24k lb on my 2500 lb7 w gooseneck and two antique tractors b4. edge on level 2. wouldnt b afraid to haul more, just gota use common sence and know what your limits (brakes!)

  • Where the hell did you hear that the Duramax is a mitsbishi engine???? It is made by Isuzu which is owned by GM!! In fact GM is the only one who makes their own engine because the Cummins is not made by dodge and the powerstroke is made by international. Think before you speak next time..

  • @bigred1440 lol and international isnt gonna be making fords engines anymore so there gonna suck even more now..

  • what is wrong with the trans. the allison is probly the best out there

  • 16 and 17 thousand pounds is a lot...

My grandpa's been hauling his 5th wheel down from canada to arizona every winter since 2001 with his 6L gas chevy 2500, the trailer weighs about 14 thousand loaded.

My dads 2003 duramax has no problems, but we only pull a 5000 pound boat.

the duramax is built strong and reliable you guys must be unlucky.

  • Sorry, Im on my other channel my other channel is modeltruckandfarmreview) but the enigne aint the problem, Durumax isnt a bad engine and probable one of the best new engines GM has been making....but IMO there aint no truck to back it.

  • @zelix5 i agree with you because me and my dad and brother hooked up our 5th wheel and a trailer behind the 5th wheel loaded with tool boxes which are extremely heavy... and our truck is a 6.0 gas and it hauled it up mountains lol.... no problems at all...

  • in a stock truck yes the allison is one of the best....but for a truck like this i would go suncoast customs stage V (5) its almost indestructable

  • allison is the best transmission out there....

  • im a ford guy, ill admit that ford need's to improve on there 6.0 powerstroke, but they just did a lazy fix and put in a 6.3 in there new ones the 7.3 was the best motor ive ever had in any of my diesels. but im probably gonna sell my 08 cummins crewcab to purchase an 2008 chevy 2500 why? becuase the chevies have a mitsubishi diesel engine, bolted to a allison transmission. that would be god's powerplant for the perfect truck. with a ford frame ofcourse ;) all trucks are good though. even gmc ;)

  • I am sorry to have to break this to you but the Duramax is an Isuzu power-plant and Mitsubishi never had a dream in the world to produce a decent diesel engine. The Duramax stands as one of the best engineered engines ever to be produced. Ford has never had any diesel to be proud of in history especially the 7.3L Powerstroke which is built by Navistar (International) anyway if you really get down to it. Not to mention the old 7.3L non-turbo and the 6.9L what a freaking joke.

  • @streetrod69 so 7.3 psd wasnt a good motor? bc even dodge and chevy guys will say they are all day long. we have owned 3 never had 1 prob other than the little bs like the cam sensor. there was rarely a day one of them didnt see a trailer. and the 7.3 idi and 6.9 will put a 6.2, 6.5 na and 6.5 T to SHAME towing and reliability. oh and the ford idi's made max tq at 1400 rpm. im pretty brand loyal to ford but like all the trucks. but please know what you are talking about b4 you post.

  • @psdpowerstroke dude the last diesel mag i read there was a huge article on how to fix all the problems the 7.3 has... im a chevy guy and i say the 7.3 is a joke...

  • @boopeeps yeah, thke it to the scrapyard haha

  • @boopeeps Your a chevy guy thats why. THe 7.3 was a good motor no matter what you say it was best ford every made. I'm a dodge guy btw and drive a 24v

  • @boopeeps the 7.3 is no joke its one of the best diesels ever made ive owned one and even drive a cummins that DP article was solving the fueling drawbacks(HUEI) that keep the 7.3 from making gobs of power alls im gonna say is look at the engines that made it to a million miles... theres a TON of cummins and the only other light duty diesel engine that made it was a hand full of you guessed it 7.3s not one SINGLE duramax. I hate duramaxs but dont get me i still got respect for em.

  • I agree hole heartedly...

  • Correction............. It's an Isuzu engine not Mitso.

  • omg...dude lol its not a mitsubishi engine...its a GM engine designed by isuzu the gm makes, gm ownes the duramax, no one else...where do u ppl come up with this stuff?

  • eeehm woops no more dynoes for today

  • you broke the dyno?????!!!

  • That truckl is owned by custom auto in idaho falls idaho and i a blast to ride in

  • duramaxs are firckin beasts. Im getting one soon

  • i read ur comment,i dont know u,but i do know one thing about u.. UR SMART, a duramax is the best diesel on the road, nothing can compare to it,good choice on gettin a duramax, i have an 08 duramax, Z71,4x4,LTZ..its the best machine ever. ur gonna run into ford queers hatin, because they can get one...again good choice on the duramax. u wont regret it...

  • @primosboy901 dont kid yourself im sure there isnt anything on that truck that is stock

  • thats a pretty cool looking duramax, most are lifted if modded

  • my bell housing just brooke any ideas why is that 06 duramax

  • because you dont have a transfer case brace

  • On the tranny? Burnouts, hard pulling, hard driving, could be any number of things. Even a flaw in the casting.

  • of course on the tranny no other place to find one :P

  • srt1026.

Were the Trans & Engine ever seperated?

Loose bolts, missing bolts or alignment dowls?

  • Defect in factory casting materials!!!Possibly check out the forums for problems *& information on recalls!!

  • because its a cheap chevy

  • Comment removed

  • No a cummins would have blown its transmission before it even pulled on to the dyno.

  • lmao i know what your talking about

  • that must go atleast 220

  • prolly

  • Im abig cummins fan but i would choose duramax next but its still nice seein a truck with big power

  • hey guys little help here i have a 06 duramax whit the ppe programer but i get the 0087 code which is the low rail fuel pressure how can i get rid of that

  • add a lift pump

  • nice truck. Gotta love the sound and power of a duramax.

  • OMG!!!<:] I have seen fords blowing the motor and dodges blowing turbos but never seen a car blowin a dyno...

Again CHEVY prooving it`s the best <:P

  • haha real funny

  • the problem is that dyno is built for a cummins it just wasnt made to handle the power of a duramax

  • is that trentnells truck??

  • At the end of the video you can hear a guy say it was actually 996hp

  • bwsandridge, is a complete douche

  • agreed

  • haha fucked shit up

  • Isuzu designed built by general motors in Moraine, ohio

  • love chevy

  • must admit im a ford man but that is just insane
