@incubrian Sorry this took so long. I have been swamped with work. They have a CX series kit that runs off of a 5 or 6 channel radio that is 44 dollars or this kit that runs off of a single cell lipo battery like the ones the Blade mSR or mCX use. That kit is $25.
@Daylo97 You just need the stock controller, or whatever you use. The lights don't hook into the radio, they plug in between the battery and the connector. They are always on when you plug the battery in and are independent of the radio.
Hey, I just bought mine 1 week ago. I crashed it head on on asphault, and it broke. Full throtle too. Its broke, and im getting new parts, but without any mods at all, how high and far do you think it can go. I am a beginner and I use everything that came in the box.
@TheMasterfingerboard I fly mine with no mods aside from the light kit. I would say that the true range is anywhere from 200 to 500 ft. I have found dead spots at the field I fly at so I stay away from those areas.
Hello, I'm interested in installing these very same lights on my own RC Champ, but have no idea how to go about doing so in terms of the wiring??? Do you have any advice as to what I should be doing???? Thank you :)...
Nicely done. I use those lights a lot, however in Pitch Dark, the white lights are a bit bright for me and outshine the colors. But for dusk flying, they are ideal. Good job.
@NightFlyyer DAVE HERBERT COMMENTED ON MY VIDEO!!!! SWEET!!! WE'RE NOT WORTHY WE'RE NOT WORTHY!
Thanks Dave :) I have been watching your vids for over 2 years. I agree about the lights. Especially on fast movers like the P51 and T-28s. The Champ is mild manored, so keeping orientation isn't too hard at night.
The other great thing is that it is so light that it doesn't break during minor mishaps. I just had a 40 inch guanli fw 190 nose in when the motor mount broke. It took me over 2 hours to repair it. The champ wouldn't have even been damaged.
It will break if crashed hard, but can be fixed with some storage tape and glue. I would definitely recommend this as a beginner aircraft. Just make sure you start out somewhere big and open until you get used to flying it.
i want to buy the RC plane in the vid would you recommended it to a beginner like my self? I am also going to get a sim so i dont crash (as much) :) thank you if you reply to this comment.
Final update (others removed) - Today its 23 degrees in Medina Oh. Winds calm, gusting to 3 mph. I flew 2 batteries for 12 minutes each. I didn't fly to cutoff, but the throttle was getting spongy so I brought her in both times.
The lights don't affect flight time or CG as I stated in the review.
So if it is windy, expect 5 - 7 minutes of flight with the stock batteries
If it is calm, expect 10 - 12 minutes of flight with the stock batteries
I've ordered 3 different light kits from the and never had a problem. It does take them a few weeks to ship though.

for sure, i like the fact that you guys dont bullshit; seems honest to me, which is rare these days.
do you think this specific light kit would work on a blade cx2?? how much did this kit run you?

So do you have to have a 5ch or 6ch transmitter in order for the lights to work??
