  • the solo is fucking epic!

  • intro reminds me of something, i dont know..stairway to heaven

mixed with like 3 other songs..

  • I love this album so much more than the electronic stuff.

  • This song remindes me a little of ''The House Of The Rising Sun'' by The Animales

  • From what I've read about the new album, it's supposed to be spacey and melodic. Almost like the feel of some of the older songs (Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie era) but with a modern twist. Can't wait for Oceania!

  • good music is...I'm just thankfull Billy has provided some of it...many more to come!

  • Beautiful.

  • @crazymiles I never said it was my, I just agree ;)

Ps: I like TSP, I like the song and I'm also a big Fan of LZ and I think its really cool that he inspires himself on Jimmy Page.

  • Awesome song. Billy Corgan is the man.

  • Sounds a bit like The animals

  • lich king brought me here

  • Comment removed

  • This is like our generations Stairway to Heaven :)

  • @DKat263 very true!

  • I want more songs like this one :(... Any tips?

  • is this on itunes? i cant find it :(

  • I'm not sure if I'm just being ...stupid, but it feels a lot as though Corgan's been striving to be retro with increasing regularity. Not that I mind, but it's the impression I've been getting.

  • THERE IS A HOUSE IN NEW ORLEANS CALLLLLLLLLLLLLLED THE RISING SUN.

  • @LSDlucid

wrong chords and impresson...an million other differences.

  • thumbs up if the lichking first kill brought you here.

  • billy corgan has any son? I don´t think so ...

  • this is great. i would like this to be the soundtrack of my emerging adulthood.

  • It is a pity I have to participate in this nonsense. But honestly, the new Pumpkins material is surprisingly good. It is certainly not as good as the glory days of the band; however, it is more mature than the old material. Why is it wrong for an artist to grow up? Do you guys realize that Corgan is 44 years old? Do you really expect him to still be complaining about all his pent-up rage he had 15 years ago? Corgan grew up, so why can't the old fans of the Smashing Pumpkins?

  • @HATECREWrulz123 Super Comment!!! Bravo!

  • @HATECREWrulz123 Smashing Pumpkins are still taking names and kicking ass. eff the haters!

  • @HATECREWrulz123 my only issue has been that he's using the name Smashing Pumpkins when he's the only original member left. He using the name to get old fans to listen, even though the sound is very different, still good in many cases, which he could've just done using a new band name, that other band's name, or just with his own.

  • @Defidius I wouldn't be against that idea. Smashing Pumpkins is essentially a solo project for Corgan at this point, so a different band name wouldn't be a problem.

  • I haven't seen my father since I left him only 1 years old, he found me on facebook and sent this to me... it was touching, I live in Iceland and he won 2 tickets to Iceland airwaives, I thought he was coming 2 Iceland this October, but it turns out the he won't, because he hasn't paid anything with his child (me) and says he banned from entering Iceland, maybe it's an excuse to not meet me..

Just wanted to share, few people know about this.

    I love my mother.

  • @GangstaGKRliciouS so maybe you need to make arrangements to go meet him with someone you trust and feel the situation out, so you don't have to live life wondering....been there myself. Don't refuse the opportunities that knock upon your door... contemplate and seek the answer.

  • i have to say it again after second/third/fourth/fifth... etc listen. total bullshit

  • @crashdoyle and ill say it again, YOUR OPINION DOES NOT EQUAL FACT

  • @jsh020 When did I say I was stating fact and not just giving opinion? learn the difference cock jocky and get your facts straight! ;-)

  • @crashdoyle you indirectly said your opinion was fact when you called camerenjanty's opinion wrong and came on here just to bitch to fans that love the song

an the ironic thing was you were complaining about billy's ego when you sir have a GIGANTIC one,

get you ego in check, pull your head out your ass, stop bitching and just listen to the amazing music

  • when will billy corgan realise that the smashing pumpkins was not just the "corgan" show. totally ruins their name, i.e. still using the smashing pumpkins name. the drummer = boring, no jazz drumming like chamberlin. no darcy, yea you can have a chick in the band but it doesnt matter when she doesnt cut it. your spare guitarist sounds fitted to metallica and their downfall, like load. overall IT AINT FUCKING PUMPKINS

  • Billy Corgan is a genius! <3 Smashing Pumpkins, from Gish until always...

  • @IfUrGivingIn ill drink to that

  • shit !!!

  • Awesome!

  • i like this and eye.. but i just like the mtv world stage version way better. its heavier

  • WTF I thought this was the Pumpkins? :/

  • @CameronJantzi you thought wrong my friend..... its the corgan inflated ego show

  • Best song by Smashing Pumpkins

  • all the new smashing pumpkins music is shit and you all know it. You just can't admit it.

  • @Skaternick911 yah thats a funny joke, whats wrong with us liking new and old smashing pumpkins, do diverging opinions tear you up at night, thats just sad, it really is, if you dont like it then you have no reason to be here, you dont wanna be here and we dont want to here, everyone wins, now fuck off

  • @jsh020 it should be called Shitty Pumpkins.

  • @Skaternick911 lol that would have been hilarious if i were 5 or if it were actually funny

  • @jsh020 the only reason he has young musicians is because he's trying to remake Smashing Pumpkins. the similarities are:

    1: Female Bassist.

    2. Asian guitarist

  • @Skaternick911

    1: thats sexist

    2:thats racist

3: your butthurt and trapped in the 90's

  • @jsh020 A song for a Son vs. Luna

Luna is a million times better. 90's Smashing Pumpkin is where it's at. Forget this shit.

  • @Skaternick911 thats really nice,

so again whats your problem with people liking both old and new music from SP, do you hate to see people enjoying themselves while you hollow in negativity?

  • @Skaternick911 both the song's got so different theme from each other man .... how can u compare them

  • This isnt bad actually. Pity the rest of his current music is complete shit.

  • ..meh..

  • and i , i am one ouf of many who love this song ♥

  • This is a really good song, but honestly i don't like anything else from this album... I very much prefer the original members and earlier sound of the Smashing Pumpkins. It makes me frustrated as fuck so see them turn into this style of music. Not that this is bad music or anything, i just grew up loving their older music.

  • id say this is the only song on "Teargarden" that is worth listening to. IMO

  • a modern mozart...words impeccable...music impeccable....billy your a true wiseman...you sing about the things that mankind may never know for truths

  • where can I find an instrumental of this song?

  • total trash, what happpened?!

  • @JoyDivison92 He's on the fucking drug! The HAPPY drug!

  • @26ichiro The Charlie Sheen?

  • I bet Teargarden is a real breath of fresh air for Corgan. It isnt dark and fuzzy music, it isn't sarcastic or cynical. Its just beautiful...maybe this is what he needs.

  • ONLY LOVE <3

  • The guitar solo in this is incredible!

  • Whoa now, I keep hearing from SP fans that they used to be so much better, but based on this song, at least, they're just as good now, if different.

  • @greedisgood6492 The entire album Siamese Dream was the best. But this song is awesome.

  • love this song. listen to the pumpkins since '96...and since adore there were always a few track on their albums which a really liked. this is one of them.

  • well this is thier best from teargarden, but its not thier flowing rhythm and grunge that everyone is used to, billy needs to spend some insane amounts of time on oceania and give us an album that makes us feel like its 1993 again.

  • @pefieldhockey7 But you can't bring 1993 back, those times have come and gone. Ultimately, Billy as an artist and we as fans have to move on and focus on the present but treasure those memories.

  • @pefieldhockey7 the problem with people like you is you expect another mellon collie or siamese dream,

you dotn get that once that album is made its, its own thing, if he tries to replicate it he will never be able to no matter how hard he tries, its quite litterly impossible to replicate it, impossiblew for everyone, the only choice is to move forword before your stuff gets stale,

and grunge has been dead for over 14 years now stop asking bands to make more of it,

  • lichking normalmode world first !

  • @rico19921 normal mode? what losers were that?

  • @ingofreak Blood Legion from Illidan US

  • @rico19921 i got here from that but i liked the song ages before

  • @rico19921 hell yeaH !!

  • this is my favorite band

  • Over all I think this sounds like an Adore Demo with better drums and better production.

  • Actually, every time I hear it I am reminded of Hugh Dillon. Hugh's voice is a little lower, a little raspier...but I can hear him singing this. Check him out, too...especially "Lost at Sea".

  • Hermosa!

  • Black Sabbath meets Led Zeppelin meets My Chemical Romance yeeeeeeeeeee

  • @TnBScarecrow this sounds like none of the bands you just mentioned and WTF My Chemical Romance?

  • @kemicchew Why don't you go listen to some of their music. ;)

  • @TnBScarecrow LZ and Sabbath are the some of the most amazing bands to ever exist, My chemical faggots should never be the same in the same sentence as those faggots, neither should they be compared to the Pumpkins.

  • @killermockers47 Lol, really? MCR is a great band, some of their material might not be as good as those two classic bands, but they still make music. They've probably got more talent then you do; I can say they've got more than myself.

  • @killermockers47 man , you're 22 , it's time to be adult ...

  • @visurock Yes, that's real age. Totally.

  • @visurock Im only 16 bruzz.

  • @killermockers47 for me it's the same

  • Wtf is Chicago Code.

Second: Yay for Smashing Pumpkins <3

    Third: Dislikes? Fuck you.

  • @ACOGTurkey It's a police drama on Fox television. Billy sings in the opening credits.

  • This is a song that the Eagles could have written. Kind of reminds me of Hotel California.

  • Chicago Code <3

  • Who could possibly dislike this song! This song is awesome

  • one thing that seems to bother me about the pumpkins is they lost that somewhat spacey sound they had back in the 90s.. sounded a bit more raw and less polished

  • I'll never get tired of hearing this song, it soooo powerfull. The Smashing Pumpkins will live on forever!

  • Thumbs up if you heard this on Chicago Code!

  • @elsquibbs YES!!! Thank god for the Soundhound app on my phone!

  • @elsquibbs Amen, brother. Shawn Ryan introduced me to some awesome music with "The Shield" and it looks like he's still at it with the new show.

  • @elsquibbs me toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :D

  • Anyway, great song.

  • OMFG!!!!!!11 King Crimson, Led Zeppelin and The Animals playing together with the Smashing Pumpkins. Dis' epic, bro.

  • Billy Corgan for president.

  • My second favorite song from Teargarden. Not typical Smashing Pumpkins... getting into that old guitar-like finger jazz, that was so typical of the 70's. Impressive. Goes 70's then returns with a new-age synthesizer lullaby-like tune. Beautiful. 4:17 :) "All apaaaaaart."

  • @TLTOASFAB182 Blink 182!?!? Don't make me laugh...

  • @TLTOASFAB182 Good job naming 3 of the worst band today. The offspring was good around 10 years ago.

  • This is their best song out. Sadly it's too underrated...

  • @MoveToBike

Very underrated as a lot of quality songs are.

  • @blueroomexit that's not a cool thing to say at all dude. Don't wish that on any public figure. If you don't like the new direction of Billy and the Smashing Pumpkin's brand of music then don't listen.

  • Billy Corgan may still be around and awesome, but The Smashing Pumpkins as a band is dead

  • "...and she's buying a stairway to heaven" 0:00 to 00:45

  • @blueroomexit it sounds good still??? his voice has gotten less nasally...but its still Billy Corgan.

  • This and A Stitch in Time are my favorite from TBK so far. . . A few of the other songs feel a bit lackluster compared to earlier Pumpkins. (Coming from a fan who loves Gish, Siamese Dream, MCIS, Aeroplanes, and Adore). Not saying I want Billy to rehash his old stuff, I'm just hoping we see more Teargarden songs of a similar caliber.

  • I think this is a song about sperm rofl

  • i freakin love this song, and if anyone disagrees, ill kill you.

  • Simply an awesome song.

  • thumbs up if RWJ brought you here!!! wait... he never reveiwed this video. he really should though

  • I won't lie, Zeitgeist was a bit of a letdown but this new album seems to be shaping up pretty well!

  • Comment removed

  • one of best songs they've done in years

  • So pretty! <3

  • Really in my eyes he's a genius already and although I'm not a big fan of the new pumpkins Corgans just amazing.

  • best one out of the TGBK songs releasedd so far

  • its a really great song but its so weird to not hear jimmy on the drums, any long time fan will hear the difference!

  • first time hearing this song and i am damn impressed! This is pure rock and roll mixed with the mellon collie vocals that only corgan can pull off

  • this is the best new pumpkins song!

  • Amazing! They just got the "cream" of the sound and style of the rock 70s :-).

  • I feel the same way. This song is amazing. Much better than any thing else on it so far

  • This song makes me want to love Teargarden with all of my heart, it really does. It makes me feel so awful about all of the other songs on it. I'm sorry just none of the songs add up to this one. It makes me so sad.

  • What's up with the artwork for this album? It looks like something I'd find in a gift shop while shopping for my grandmother.

  • this teargarden by kaleidyscope project is awesome!

  • brilliant. kudos billy, keep on rockin' in the free world!!

  • wikked House of the Rising sun. intro + lyrics.

  • Led Zeppelin meets Black Sabbath meets The Black Keys.

Thats what that is right there. And its fucking amazing. Thumbs that shit up if you agree.

11 people were sailer's never to return.

  • and i got a feeling this song is gonna be a good, good song ^__^

  • Amazing.

  • Very Brian May.

  • @obscurebandfan O____0

  • @ECHOES2131 The harmony guitar is very reminiscent of his playing.

  • @ECHOES2131 yah but i didn´t detect any brian may tecnique there......

  • who's this song for? it sounds kind of wierd.

  • This song is EPIC!

  • @FK4SD 'Epic' is my most used word on songs i like... but this, this isn't worthy of that word... i must find a bigger, better word to describe this song...

So there on goes the quest for a bigger word. will you acompany me to find this word, to praise this song? So others may use that word only for this song.

  • I gave up on the musical world

I decided that i would forever listen to songs from the 60's-90's when music was still good

Billy. Thank you for renewing my faith in music.

  • i like this song

  • I really like the way Billy has been going post Zeitgeist, G.L.O.W., Superchrist, and American Gothic were all great songs/EP's. At that time I thought he was at his peak for his age and then Chamberlin left and I was devastated, I wondered how he would continue on and then this came out and blew all my expectations. This, Freak, The Fellowship, and Tom Tom rank up with some of even Siamese Dream. The others are great as well, I can't wait to see what Corgan can come up with now.

  • Fucking great song.. love this new pumpkins material.

  • I don't give a fuck that Corgan's replaced all his band members. No one shits on Lemmy or Mustaine for having a new lineup practically every album because they, like Corgan, put out quality music almost every time. And let's face it, for a long time, Corgan's been the creative vision of the Pumpkins, so if he surrounds himself with musicians he feels he can create great music with, more power to him.

This is a great song, clearly proof that Corgan know what he's doing.

  • one of the most underrated bands in the history of rock and roll. better than nirvana. deeper. fantastic song.

  • @captainkill1 Amen. However, if you think this is underrated, look up Interpol and Hard-fi. I want to eat every pop singer's brain for keeping bands like them so unexposed.

  • stairway to heaven 2.0!!!

    the pumpkins are definetely back!

  • @nirvanapixiesmisfits RHCP AND RUSH IN 2011!!!!

  • ehhh its so so

  • god i love the smashing pumpkins never have bands like this anymore

  • Totally bad-ass... Billy totally has re-invented the band and his sound... I love them... Gonna see them in November... Yay

  • This music is so emotion! *--*

    The guitar solo is perfect!

  • This song is AMAZING

  • Karma police i can hear.......

  • all the songs on this album is pretty bad ass, the art though.... lame, haha

  • You people need to chill and enjoy the fucking song.

  • It's funny because this was the first song to be released with many more to come after it.

  • @Fuzunga Exactly what i thought!!

  • @nirvanapixiesmisfits Don't know why I just wrote a long response to kid who has heard four hits and likes Linkin Park. I must be starting to loose it...

  • @nirvanapixiesmisfits If Gish came out today, everyone would hate it too. ALL there albums are different. It's not fair to compare bands to the past, you have to learn to experience their music indepently without expectations, otherwise your expectations will never be met. If you want bands to keep making the same album, listen to Punk. NOFX is a great band and has put out a slightly different version of the same album for 20 years now. Any band with talent is always going to experiment.

  • @nirvanapixiesmisfits It's not the bands, it's you....sorry dude.

  • Fucking epic and sad and sweet all at the same time. Great song, fucking love Billy's writing.

  • @rockinitout2012 - Wrong!! i bet you're a fortune teller with that stellar assumption..

Billy's burnt out. If he cared about his fans (which he clearly doesn't) then he'd quit soiling the bands legacy with all this rubbish and release these new albums under a different name.

I'll always love the band that once was...just not the )one man) band it has become..

  • well do be honest all the people bashing this song this is one song out of 44 others and you dont have to pay anything for it ( i suggest you do ) and frankly i fucking love it

    so stuff you

  • Smashing pumpkins... I'll love you forever and everything you stand for. You are legendary.

  • How come everyone these days is a little stuck up critic, if a song is good, original and keeps your listening from start to end, how can you let something as stupid as "oh they dont sound like they did 15 years ago" stop you from enjoying a song like this, this song is amazing, the solo's melt me

  • @KliqEqualsPower

Sorry, I was exaggerating to make him feel bad. I love the human race. But pigs are cool too.

  • @ColoredPig lol @ pigs aer cool too. )

  • Comment removed

  • i frekin love SP old AND new. dont give a rats ass what everyone else thinks. Hearing the smashing pumpkins is an honor for me. I will always be supporting them so to all you "fans" who dont support him, f**ck you. :)
