@permaveg I don't think Madonna is a hero just for adopting a child, but it's rather obscene to call adoption "buying children" as if it's something evil to care for kids, or that it was necessarily an empty publicity stunt rather than anything she cared about. Why are people so miserably cynical?

Live Earth was a joke. Madonna is a joke, who's never had even the slightest bit of realness to her. She's done nothing positive for the world, there's nothing genuine to be proud of. There's nothing, especially for someone like Moz, to be jealous of. Moz is a genuine artist, who's done a hell of a lot more good than Modonna ever has. His gut? It's called aging. Actually she has done a few good things for the world two of her best friends died of AIDs in the 80s and shes raised a lot of money for AIDS charities not to mention being on of the first mainstream artists to openly support the gay community. Don't think so. It's largely Madonna's influence that has turned music into it's form today which Morrissey finds boring and bland (i.e. to much focus on presentation, not enough on singing).

But funny thing is I think it was about 1989 or 1990 I was listening to Moz being intereviewed here on the radio on KROQ 106.7 by Richard Blade or The Swedish Eagle or someone like that and he mentioned positive about Madonna. I think he said she was quite the independent young woman. He didn't know her. But Madonna has gone really different now than she was so I can understand Moz's feelings about her now.
