Doolin is absolutely fantastic, I go there for a few nights every year during my month long visit back home in Clare and the music and atmosphere is unreal everytime!

Dublin has to be the most boring and morbid town in the world and people who live there just dont know life or there own self worth its like a prison because almost every bar and food store has arrogant polish security gaurds on them and everyone judges you for simple things like the way you dress act behave walk and talk its SICK get the fuck out and live your life . You cannot express your true self in Dublin because the culture is so extremely different to everywhere.

Nice---thanks for this. I spent the summer of 1983 in Doolin---really amazing. Met Kevin and tons of other great musicians. And I think he was a fairly new player then but still really good and now----well------reaaaaallly good. So cool to hear his voice again! Thanks

There should be a great film made about Doolin and twud have nottin to do with music ayder! The politics of love and music and outsiders overwhelmed me one winter that I stayed there. I love the place and the People, especially Kevin Griffin, fair play to you Kev, you hung in !

Neat! My husbands family originates from Doolin. We're the American version :) It's so interesting to me that my husband and ALL of his Doolin relatives here in America are very musical- each involved in their own band- including my children now. The tradition has followed across the pond and continues to this day!
