    Not sure, I never checked it when it was built like that. It didn't last long in that condition. I got the horsepower bug and went with a 3.8 stroker motor and GTM Stage-3 TT kit.

  • @tvr4u 264 intake and 264 exhaust. Fairly mild.

  • anyone who think this car should be making 340 whp with bolt-ons is an idiot. 306 bhp minus 15% drive train loss = about 260whp.

    ...ill take 40whp gain with bolt-ons and a tune on a NA motor any day.

  • i agree, you should be at around 330-340 whp especially with headers and cams. whoever did your tune had no idea what theyre doing! oh btw you make more hp with a single exhaust on this motor NA.

    300.08 whp ( from 254 stock ), and 275 tq.

    I'm very satisfied with that. An increase of 46 whp is not easy to get on these engines in NA form ( 22 whp increase without the headers and cams ). That increase plus the 4.08 final drive gear make it a completely different car. Keep in mind, this is at the wheels. This figures jump up to around 245-250 at the crank.

  • @blue350zed what dyno did you use? Bcause mine has 263 to the wheels stock. and ive seen 300 rwhp with just exhaust, intake, test pipes, pulley, An a reflash. so with headers and cams and a dyno tune gosh i thought a HR would be at 330... flywheel and cluth 340.

    I was referring to drivetrain based maintenance that would allow you to maintain a decent level of power over time. Also, you may have gotten an engine which met the tolerances more closely than his, and we also don't know the temperature at the time of his or your dyno tune.

    Does that make sense?
