The Sun is in fact more than 1.35 million times larger than the Earth, is almost 8 1/2 light minutes away from the Earth.

It is a regular main sequence star, that takes about 250 million years to orbit the milky way.

That's a great video. I like time lapse, it's fun to watch. It is interesting, at about 40 seconds, how the darker cloud dissolves on one side and reforms on the other, staying in the same spot. Good job!
