  • Thats what my first Cast Iron pour looked like!

  • when you have the cylinder and a piston and the valvues its no problem to build a steam engine...

  • does this run on compressed air or real steam?

  • @Spicyperson9123 Compressed air. Safer and I'm to lazy to make a boiler.

  • @apowellz but steam is more powerful

  • Inspirational!

  • I would love to build a steam engine but i dont have a machineshop.

  • A close up of this part especially the needle would be most helpful.. great vid

  • help me from where to buy parts of steam engine and name their parts in detail

  • @rocky989871 Take a look at the Jensen Steam engine Factory web site. Lots of good information, in addition to engines and parts for sale. Also PM Research online and on ebay.

  • We used to use fine green sand, dry, with linseed oil as the bonding agent, worked exceptionaly well, gives a very fine finish.

  • Yes, I'm going to try to make some oil bonded sand now that I have made a muller. I think I will try smokeless two stroke engine oil in the mix. I like the idea that it doesn't dry out or freeze in storage.

  • Let us know/see how you get on!!I really do recommend linseed oil as its really good and sticky for the sand and easy to seperate the burnt sand out, that can be finely sieved and reused, gets better the more its used and the blacker it goes. That is the method of the old men, none of this modern resin/co2 rubbish!!
