Yes, I'm going to try to make some oil bonded sand now that I have made a muller. I think I will try smokeless two stroke engine oil in the mix. I like the idea that it doesn't dry out or freeze in storage.
Let us know/see how you get on!!I really do recommend linseed oil as its really good and sticky for the sand and easy to seperate the burnt sand out,that can be finely sieved and reused,gets better the more its used and the blacker it goes.That is the method of the old men,none of this modern resin/co2 rubbish!!

We used to use fine green sand,dry,with linseed oil as the bonding agent,worked exceptionaly well,gives a very fine finish.
