  • 9,000$ boat...+ a 35,000$ overhaul (2:03)...+ two high powered engines = not a 9,000$ boat retards.

  • hahahaha hes called butch

  • wtf only 9000 dollars? lmfao

  • What a load of shit saving 100Ltrs of fuel an hour 9000 for an outboard maybe 90hp

  • Kayaking down White Water is much better!

  • $9000 for fuel is more like it.

  • why the fuck are they comparing sailing to powerboats? apples and oranges. no record, not a single fuck was given.

  • yeah thats not true its gotta be more to hold the world record. there are like 100s of boats 5x faster than that

  • 9 thousand dollar boat, 30 thousand dollar overhaul... WTF She doesnt make any sense. both those engines would cost 9k a piece, hull, instruments, reinforcements, gas tanks and all safetly gear could be easily over 50k.

  • @hellpass1 love to see where you can get new Yamaha 220hp engines for $9grand.... Bargain

  • I bought a tinnie with a 35hp damn it where did they buy their boat for 9Gs?

  • "... an' we were down to about 45 km/h." that's still fast in the sea he described.

  • Comment removed

  • i think she ment $90,000 boat not 9,000

  • lol 9k more like 40 k

  • wait if those boats got on top of waves that are idk 15 feet big could they just skip across them ?

  • 9000 dollars? those yammies are 23k retail each new .

  • @Jolinator those motors were given to them free

  • Thumbs up if you pee on the side of the toilet bowl so it makes less noise.

  • they should have a powered sydney hobart race as well for us petrolheads

  • how much botox has been pumped into that weird ass reporter? O.o

  • @AlchemistHawk None thats the distorted head she was born with

  • Yamaha = Reliability.. exactly,, $9000 with a $35000 overhaul.. What did you buy originally, the fuel props?

  • $9000 MY ASS

  • That's awesome, nice!!

  • good... today we can go fast on water.

now convert motors to green energy and break your record!

  • @yzorg Why would you paint a 225 yamaha green? Now that would just be stupid!

  • @mooza81

could you please reread my comment and then rethink your reply...

    i said nothing about painting...

  • damn 9k

  • How is that $9000?

  • only HALF the time for the sailboats? damn those boats are pretty quick! that or their boat was really slow for a powerboat... damn :/

  • god.. would never trust mercruiser for this race....

  • yeah! :D yamaha is tha best

  • "35 000$ overhaul"....

  • I have miss geico!

  • 2x275 yamaha! no 2x225!

  • a 36 ft boat for 9000 dollars

  • I've noticed that nearly all (I'd estimate 90%) of outboards that I see in saltwater marinas (Florida, etc) are Yamaha. I rarely see any other brand of outboard being used. They must have a great saltwater engine.

  • @greenfruitface yeap i was talking to someone over here in australia and they told me for saltwater, yamahas are really reliable...i have a yamaha on my tinny and take it out in the salt water heaps and no problems at all

  • i just love you "aussies", You see everything from the bright side. Greetings from Norway!!

  • It is a pointed fuel tank...

  • Prop heads oh brother..

  • blow boats blow.....

  • LOL The woman's face at the end is funny :P

  • nice name is that ur last name cause its mine

  • First I heard it as 90k and thought - well, that's reasonable lol.

  • 9K? Im in the US, (is our dollar that bad. lol) Those engines are 20K a piece or more (USD), The electronics on that vessel might be 9K, I hate to see the bill at the fuel dock for one of those long runs, must be hauling around 1k gallons (how many ltrs is that lol.

  • I heard $9,000 too but it seems more like it would be $90,000

  • i know aye

  • but they "borrowed the engines from yamaha"...

  • Looks like hella fun!! those yamaha engines are sweet. tell em' you want bigger engines. actually those are probably big enough.

  • 1:46 HOLY SHIT that landing wouldve been crazy

  • Brave guys. Well done. Looks like there will be two Sydney-Hobart races now

  • yeah... Im with Nugburner

  • only 9k? just the motors are more that...

  • i wanna see it with the new yamahas 350s

  • wtf? 9000$ boat?

  • With a 35K overhaul, apparently.

  • hehe yeah :)

  • right lol the motors alone are $15,000 each

  • The host says the engines are borrowed from yamaha! They doesen't own them, so the only cost for them is the boat.

  • @mrteyssere thats wat i said

  • @mrteyssere The motors were given to them, thats about $30,000 - $40,000 but still $9000?

  • @mrteyssere 35,000$ over haul at 2:03

  • wtf? eyebrows @ 3:02 LOL!

  • Yamaha is the most reliable, good choice. The Japanese make everything better.

  • $9000?

  • @chickenlover01 without the motors dude

  • @chickenlover01 that how much the custom prop and lower unit cost

  • 1:45 XD

  • give me that boat and one extra engine.. ( not that i NEED it, but if u see at 0:44 it would look better with one extra :D )

  • any motor would be fine but id say evinrude or mercury and with that boat i guess it does matter if but they had a foutain boat it wouldn't matter b/c they blow out every speedboat on the water from my count & boat are my hobby so these video's are the best in the WORLD

  • Yamaha is the stuff ^^

  • you should put 2 evinrude e-tecs on ur boat they get better milage trust me i have one

19 ft cape horn with 200ho 80 gallon tank

30 miles out river 50 miles offshore trolling all day full throttle 75% of the way back got back to boat launch put boat on trailer had just a little over half a tank left boat was loaded to capacity in gulf of mexico

  • rnt u lucky then

    225 jah

    xd

  • Nee man, leer luisteren. A couple = 2!! Kijk op boot, 220 HP

    Dus 440 int totaal eeee

Damn!

  • 4-takt he.

  • We were compairing our selves with the class1 offshore power boats like Maritimo, But because it was filmed so close to the actual Sydney to Hobart they probably just wanted to relate them some how. It sounds a bit stupid i know..

  • @butchely I don't understand exactly ....

regardless of specifics, it was pretty impressive

  • just a little worried as to how you can compare the two..Id like to see them set off with the yachts probably would'nt get out of the harbour!!!!anything more than force three the sea becomes a roller coaster ride. With fuel in the uk at £6.00 per gallon this race would'nt be viable in uk it would end up costing as much as a Maxi yacht lol

  • Is that power boat racing sail boats

  • $9,000? Where do you get a boat that fast for that cheap? Last time I checked one of the engines on the boat cost more thatn that.

  • @TheOfficialKC they bought the boat for that then a 36 grand overhaul then borrowed the motors it says on the commentry

  • @grantjen1 treu that

  • where did u get the boat?

  • dat pic is relll fake hossss..... look at it das like 13 feet in de air its possible but loks fake.... naaa buuu its still a rell good vid and a rell nice boat

  • What language is that?

  • English.

  • How did you refuel? Did you port?

  • Yes .. Eden

  • And we only pissed blood for a week, mate!

  • thats funny

  • thats AWSUM!!Offshore PowerBoat Racers.OMG!!!

    Real Guts!+Balls of cast iron!U RULE*****thnx

4this Cool vid.+the Sidney GP was Mind Blowing

  • Just a bit of information for MrOffshore, the cat that has set all these records is actually an ex offshore race boat that has had an extremely succesfull career and was based on a 28ft version of the same hull. This 28foot boat with Quad Mercs won the world championship for its class and was then shipped to the USA where in every rough water race it entered it came first with daylight a distant second so with modern machinery and rough seas nothing even in the US of A would stand a chance.

  • Nice video...lucky someone with some real equipment doesn't come down and put the whoop on them. They hold these records only because no one with a seriosly competitive boat has tried. Their speed averages are impressive for their equipment but not for the sea conditions...there are pleasure boats here in the US that could do some real record breaking down there.

  • Quite the naysayer

  • Congrats boys and I hope we see you in Powerboat P1 soon. You should make a mark in that.

  • Pretty cool achievement

  • This could become a great endurance speedboat race.

  • Do it in a thundercat :)

  • roughest ocean in the world. haha... Bass Strait, Tasman sea... pretty rough oceans.

  • Crazy mofo's
