No, Oil changes every 40 to 50 hours of run time. sometimes sooner if the air filter gets too dirty from excessive dust.

Oh man, oil on these should be changed no later than 20 hours. These are high perf motors and changing the oil should be done often, along with other basic maitenance.

The oil should be changed often. If you have the money and time, every 20 hours can't hurt, but the actual service manual says to change it every 6 months (which is insane to me). If you have been riding in wet or dusty conditions change it more towards 20 hours, but the standard guideline is 40 to 50 hours. The oil doesn't thin out very fast on the water cooled four strokes.

hey, is your yfz reliable? can u beat on it and it not break?

It's really reliable. I've had very few problems in about 5 years of really pounding on it. At this point I need to rebuild the bike itself cause it needs a lot of bearings and maintenance items. But it runs like a champ and is made to take a beating.

Yfzs are really reliable engine wise. You have to replace bearings and bushings alot plus keep everything lubricated. But my yfz has never let me down.

The 450 is awesome on the trails. I have to ride the clutch quite a bit cause it doesn't crawl in 1st well. Otherwise, it's the best all around bike I ever owned. I sold my built quadzilla because I never rode it anymore!!
