  • i love this movie !!!!!! the songs, the story, the actors ... OMG so much fun!!

  • Movies of this type always reminded me of our own life crisis, when we let things just pile up and then they explode into an unbelievably big series of shocking events. This usually tears our worlds and makes us realize who we are and what we want, but in a bit of a violent way (i can't find any other suitable term).

  • The sister acted in Friends, right? She was Erica!!

  • the blonde girl is terisa palmer xx

  • 0:23 are u kidding me? they look exactly alike!

  • This looks awesome! You should watch the trailer for Demons Never Die though it looks like my film of the year.

  • OH MY GOD ! Its like she's her twin sis ! :O

How is that possible ??!! :O

  • OMG, 0:23 really looks like kristen stewart.

  • Oh ... and who the hell was break dancin in 1988? NO ONE>

  • Same sheat happened in 13 going on 30, that's when I first noticed the discrepancy of music in the movies. They were playing music from 1984, but the movie was set in 1987 ... I was going WTF! No U2's Joshua Tree, Fleetwood Mac's Big Love, George Michael I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me), Heart, Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive, or Madonna La Isla Bonita.

  • 1988 is late 80s ... In my head, I considered rap old break dancin' music from the early 80s so I didn't listen to it at all ... and still don't to rap. Well my point is, if producers want to bring back a certain era on the sliver screen, they should use popular music from that year. I sure as hella wasn't listening to new wave Thomas Dolby or Flock of Seagulls in '88.

  • These guys look familiar. Who is the guy and the blonde!

  • @LiveLaughLove8489 Nevermind! He was Eric Foreman from That 70's show!

  • I don't understand what the title has to do with the movie............

  • wow show us the whole movie why don't you?

  • Stupid ... another gen y movie making gen x ... they never get it right ... with all the movies made in the 80s, you'd think they watch it and get the clothes, music, and hair right ... set in 1988 and playing music from 1986 ... righttttttttttttttttt.

  • @robfergusonjr But 1986 existed when 1988 was born.

  • @rubino83 True, but by 1988 pop was rip (Take Me Home Tonight was POP) and all that played on the radio was metal and some minor pop hits. None of my radio stations or MTV played music from 1986 when Jan 88 came along. Guns and Roses were huge by then ... Rap was still trying to go main stream ... Metallica went big, White Snake, Def Leppard, White Lion, some teeny bobber stuff was around like Debbie Gibson. Pop like Midnight Oil, Tracy Chapman, Alannah Myles played all summer.

  • @robfergusonjr ...heres the deal. NOBODY IN SUBURBIA listened to White Snake, Def Leppard, White Lion or anything else you're refencing. Rock songs defeat the whole purpose of a "dance" scenario, hence thats why pop songs played...the writers sought to put in "minor pop hits" in reality metal came in the early 90s and was reinforced with gangsta rap aka NWA....

  • @SuperOmnicron Metal was dying in the early 90s thanks to Grunge ... Metal took off in 1983 after Quite Riot hit it big with 'Cum on feel the noise', Then Van Halen's "Jump", many others that bubbled under in 1984, by 1985 Metal was everywhere ... What kind of alternate universe you lived in? I would like to hear more of it. September 10, 1991 was the release date of Smells like Teen Spirit, the final nail in the metal coffin.

  • @robfergusonjr ...lets go through this one more time, yes, quiet riot was big. as a matter of fact, we had a "heavy metal homecoming". My point was, for the purpose of the film, the time period was the mid-80s. People listened to heavy metal. In certain circles, it got very little play at parties, because you couldnt dance to it. Other "keggers" would have metal playing. It all depended on the clique , group, radio station, etc. Hell, there was Thomas Dolby, Flock of Seagulls, Duran Duran, etc.

  • @robfergusonjr ....uh didnt "Straight outta Compton" come out in 88? And songs carried over for a couple of years (i.e. POPULAR music)

  • @SuperOmnicron Here is a list of the top 100 of 1988: eightiesclub dot tripod dot com forwardslash id225 dot htm I bet none of these are in the movie. Notice 'Striaght outta compton' is not on it. Yes it did come out in '88 but I never heard of them until the early 90s ... when Rap started to rise.

  • @robfergusonjr ... I like all kinds of music. I have a little bit of Ratt, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Ozzy, Nirvana, and a smattering of 80s songs, since that was my era. You would be correct, in that rap rose commercially more often due to marketing - via Starter, Nike, and the shoes the rappers would associate themselves with and Yo! MTV raps. All im saying , is that "in the spirit" of the 80s, the producers cherry picked what songs they probably listened to and applied it

  • I love Topher Grace but the movie looks like an 80's version of superbad.

  • what a godawful piece of shit

  • i love EDDIE MONEY!!!

  • I LOOOOOOVE THIS SONG!!!!

  • Sun Coast Video was an actual rental chain during the 80s out of Minnesota. It got changed to Sun Coast Motion Picture Company. They got eventually tied into Sam Goody. A lot of them ended up closing in 2009. Going for the "authenticity of the 80s"

Good call on "Straight outta Compton" for the Trailer.

  • @SuperOmnicron I've seen Sun Coasts as late as 3-4 years ago. I had no idea they'd been completely assimilated.

  • make the check out to EDDIE MONEY god knows he could use the cash

  • @Mook001 with the royalties from the this movie to Eddie's bank account? I dont think so!

  • no

  • just saw the hole movie
