ahhhh Octamed...... thanks for that memory jolt. hours spent watching blue numbers scrolling by on a light grey background, pity the talent didn't flow :-)
I was at Uni when this came out. I was bumming around with an Atari ST and CuBase and my mate was using an Atari Falcon and other Amiga A500 and Octamed with some serious results. Now days to get these sort of vibes you gotta have Reason, Record, Fruity Loops, Logic Audio and a load of talent to make it now days. Back then talent flowed. Shame I still don't think my material is as good as the stuff of yesteryear.
this was even better live back in 92 ripped out your tits on doves.
i really do believe we had the best nightlife there has ever been, nothing before or since has equalled the atmosphere, music and all round feeling of the early 90's when we all just wanted to get wasted and have a good time and be best bud's with the person standing next you that you had never met before in your life
The rhythm can make you dance, while the repetitive melody can put you into a hypnotic trance or at best give you an earworm.
HOW TO CONJURE UP AN EARWORM: Here's a tried and true method 1.)Familiarize yourself with the piece. 2.) Before the chord resolves into another, turn the music off. This way, you will force your mind to play it again and again. It's a form of controlled frustration ("Frustrum-Effect").
I like the appregio at mark 1:41 of this video. I like synesthetic sonic stobes too.
@Saint666ist Ehm... What do you mean? You get all the earlier music, PLUS the great music from our time. What's wrong with that? Noone forces you to listen to the Billboard music. Go listen to some real music.
@mndlbrt i never even mentioned music before the 80s so dunno where that came from, dont know what your on about our time, its hard not to listen to billboard charts when its plastered all over the media and clearly all music is real
@Saint666ist Who said anything about before the 80s? My point is that you get the best of both worlds. There's heaps of good music being produced right now, you just have to find it yourself and not rely on shitty lists to get it.
fckn amazing!! Time goes by,but some things JUST STAY THE BEST i love this as much as i did when it was released and it makes me wanna jump inside the groove
can't be arsed reading all the comments .. but.. gotta love the way they used Kate Bush's 'something good' as a sample... Also got to see these guys supporting the shamen in the 90's
An underrated song on this side of the pond. Before it became country music, KBEQ had a program called "Planet Q". It had this song as well as other alternative and world music. I thought this station would go on forever, but alas it was the kiss of death.

Stop Gamer69r from depressing the next person with great house music and nothing to look at. SEEING this UTAH SAINT "VIDEO" experience upset me. I am a powerful witch. Gamer69r has no taste and i hate him.
I am now in my 30s. Thank god I was a teenager in the 90s. Life was so much better, when social networking involved talking to girl in real life or over someting called a landline phone. If you were lucky you eventually copped off :)
will never forget a house party back in the 90's and this came on and a very drunk lass started screamin " U TALK SENSE< U TALK SENSE" fookin brillant
i'll never ever forget being on a building site in the early 90's and a plasterer obviously listening to the radio sticks his head out the window and screams 'UTAH SAINTS U U U UTAH SAINTS' lol
