  • Utah Saints is gonna rock you!

  • still feel that bass

  • @pidxxx try explaining to the kids of today about the b-side that could be played at 33 or 45 and they'll look at you like you're talking swahili.

  • @nothankyouization I feel old for knowing what you're talking about lol!

  • @pidxxx And more :) ..............

  • ahhhh Octamed...... thanks for that memory jolt. hours spent watching blue numbers scrolling by on a light grey background, pity the talent didn't flow :-)

  • AWESOME MATE!!

  • I was at Uni when this came out. I was bumming around with an Atari ST and CuBase and my mate was using an Atari Falcon and other Amiga A500 and Octamed with some serious results. Now days to get these sort of vibes you gotta have Reason, Record, Fruity Loops, Logic Audio and a load of talent to make it now days. Back then talent flowed. Shame I still don't think my material is as good as the stuff of yesteryear.

  • íf u remember this tune u probably didnt take as many drugs as u said u did in them days

  • Can't even get this on Itunes man. Sucks!

  • omg... i forgot about that dj magazine :)

  • this came out around the time techno was hot- i have this cd somewhere in my house.

  • @pidxxx Amen to that!

  • best regards for donald sutherland & kate bush.

  • this was even better live back in 92 ripped out your tits on doves.

i really do believe we had the best nightlife there has ever been, nothing before or since has equalled the atmosphere, music and all round feeling of the early 90's when we all just wanted to get wasted and have a good time and be best bud's with the person standing next you that you had never met before in your life

  • @timshill I totally know what you mean... and doves...oh ya!!! Hope you are still "haven it"!! Best wishes from Hackney!

  • @Debbie8554 sadly a retired raver now, the old body lived it to the max, dont think i could handle a good heavy comedown like the good old days lol..

  • The rhythm can make you dance, while the repetitive melody can put you into a hypnotic trance or at best give you an earworm.

HOW TO CONJURE UP AN EARWORM: Here's a tried and true method 1.)Familiarize yourself with the piece. 2.) Before the chord resolves into another, turn the music off. This way, you will force your mind to play it again and again. It's a form of controlled frustration ("Frustrum-Effect").

I like the appregio at mark 1:41 of this video. I like synesthetic sonic stobes too.

  • yea from Kutski unkool oldkool mixes?:)

  • brings back some good memories of my youth!

  • bought this on Tape in middle school lol

  • really 1992 so brilliant .. i trust someone that loves music before Wikipedia mr Gamer69r this song is a good game.

  • OMG ever since i seen Angry Caberet on here i've been lookin for this song!

  • @Mr1DanSmith LOL *rolls eyes and thinks of Kate Bush*

  • Alot better than the 2008 remix.

    thank you for uploading

  • i wish i was old enough to have lived the 80s and 90s scene instead of all this crap you get now

  • @Saint666ist It was a good time, sometimes a bit overwhelming!

  • @Saint666ist Ehm... What do you mean? You get all the earlier music, PLUS the great music from our time. What's wrong with that? Noone forces you to listen to the Billboard music. Go listen to some real music.

  • @mndlbrt i never even mentioned music before the 80s so dunno where that came from, dont know what your on about our time, its hard not to listen to billboard charts when its plastered all over the media and clearly all music is real

  • @Saint666ist Who said anything about before the 80s? My point is that you get the best of both worlds. There's heaps of good music being produced right now, you just have to find it yourself and not rely on shitty lists to get it.

  • and my point is i wish i was alive to have seen the 80s (Y)

  • @Saint666ist We were inbetweeners then and it was a different kind of buzz...

  • @Saint666ist It was great the 80s

  • I found these motherfuckers in my collection of albums while cleaning out my garage. I was excited that I didn't even know I had them.

  • I'm so glad that I am old enough to have listened and loved this song when it first came out in 1992. Those were days... Thank you, God!

  • WHO LOVES YOU AND WHO DO YOU LOVE?

  • fckn amazing!! Time goes by,but some things JUST STAY THE BEST i love this as much as i did when it was released and it makes me wanna jump inside the groove

  • rememeber this in a vancouver niteclub march 1993 rocking , all brits on stage dancing class

  • IN vancouver niteclub march 1993 rocking

  • this and The Grid...LOL

  • Utah Saints were completely ahead of their time. This track still goes hard as ever! RESPECT

  • @djmikedee Why were they "ahead of their time"? Sampling was the IN thing of the early 90's mate. This was nothing new

  • 92????? i thought this came out in 89-90?

  • @xandalek

Yeah, me too. Either way, how the years have flown. Happy days.

  • love this ......

  • Great Tune, never will forget the good old times :-)

  • can't be arsed reading all the comments .. but.. gotta love the way they used Kate Bush's 'something good' as a sample... Also got to see these guys supporting the shamen in the 90's

  • 1992 ? holly shit.......

  • when did I get old?

  • I Have Everything I Need ~ Still ~ I Know That Something Good Is Going To Happen.

  • Banging tune I still possess this on 12" vinyl what a tune bring em all back if just for a weekend

  • me too!!!!

  • I've got a massive cheeky grin listening to this tune for the first time in years. So so good!

  • An underrated song on this side of the pond. Before it became country music, KBEQ had a program called "Planet Q". It had this song as well as other alternative and world music. I thought this station would go on forever, but alas it was the kiss of death.

  • I still have this vinyl...

    but I don't have a player any more :(((

  • The MTV Video was all X-Psychedelic and cool to happen to SEE AND HEAR trippin when i was 12. That's why i bought it. I CAN ONLY HEAR THIS AND NOT WATCH. WHAT WERE UTAH SAINTS ALL ABOUT? Stop Gamer69r from depressing the next person with great house music and nothing to look at. SEEING this UTAH SAINT "VIDEO" experience upset me. I am a powerful witch. Gamer69r has no taste and i hate him.

  • @birdhaldol "Please pass me the saltshaker. I am a powerful wizard. This chicken tastes delicious."

  • absolute classic tune!!!!

  • FINALLY THE ORIGINAL!

  • WOW! epic, check out high contrast remix.

  • awesome song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you missed keith langley out of the pictures!

the amazing drummer of the utah saints and the one who shouts 'utah saints' at the start!!!

  • when i bought this cd it didn't have that annoying "utah saints!" chant. way cooler without.

  • where can i find this?

  • @auxili160

Try Discogs, Top site for old rave etc. TUUUUUNNNEEE!

  • Stll sounds fresh. This track got me into Kate Bush. Today I still day-dream about Kate's bush

  • @101airbourn you're a deviant lol

  • I remember reading that exact copy of DJ magazine, and the free fffffffrrrrrrr mixtape! How time flies!

  • I also actually bought eskimos and egypt or whatever the fk that was.

  • Man, it's hard to believe this is pushing 20 years now. I love this song..

  • Isn't this completely fab? I used this in a 1993 Meridian TV (UK) trailer campaign. A great celebration of Kate as well. Best wishes

  • I am now in my 30s. Thank god I was a teenager in the 90s. Life was so much better, when social networking involved talking to girl in real life or over someting called a landline phone. If you were lucky you eventually copped off :)

The music was better as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • reminds me of driving to the snow - fast n tired v fukn cool

  • high contrast remixed it

  • will never forget a house party back in the 90's and this came on and a very drunk lass started screamin " U TALK SENSE< U TALK SENSE" fookin brillant

  • @sandramalachy Used to spin this waaaaay back, some people swore that's what was said.?? until I showed them the 12 " sleeve.

chalk it up to alcohol & bad hearing ;)))

Cheers! have another luv is what I would have said ^-^ ;))))

  • @sandramalachy hahaha amazing!

  • @sandramalachy lol even my mum liked that

  • @iveshitmypants So did MY Mum!! :D

  • @sandramalachy Hahahaha thats classic hehe.

  • @sandramalachy

    hahahaha love it :-)

  • @sandramalachy That's what I thought they were saying when I was 13 haha! :D

  • @sandramalachy my boyfriend never heard me snort.... until I read this

  • i'll never ever forget being on a building site in the early 90's and a plasterer obviously listening to the radio sticks his head out the window and screams 'UTAH SAINTS U U U UTAH SAINTS' lol

  • @2:35 freaky eyes :D

  • @Milandermaybe

this song got me into ur mother

  • U U U U U U U UTAH SAINTS

  • song jams yalls,,,bla bla bla

  • hey who cares? still sounds great

  • no 4, reached me in montana usa. love it.wr

  • it should reach no. 1

  • so far as i can tell,it did in fact have that in the original track,i think the problem is that you've discovered a remix of this song from 16 years after the fact

  • look how wrong you are (I've got the original CD, and it;s sure as hell there)

  • I bought it in '92 and it indeed did have that dub. Dumb ass.

  • i remember being 13 when this was out..i'd watch it on muchmusic and go "WTF?"

  • i was 2 when this came out.shit was so dope back then...fuck..its so bad ass..aahh FUCK MY GENERATION!!!

  • The remix sounded so fresh in 2008. It just goes to show how little music has progressed in the last 15 or so years.

  • well thats misinformed. this song is a comepletely diffent style, its more of an acid style than the 08 version, where as the 08 version has stronger electro influence. although all house music came from acid house, there are distinct differences. however, on the whole, as far as pop goes, it hasnt progressed much. there are dance styles around now that didnt exists in the early 90's, you just havent heard them. :)

  • Ok, I'll be a little more specific. I don't think house has progressed that much. I also don't think much at all has progressed in the last 10 years.

  • ok i see your point, many sub genres or fusions have their origins in the early 90's and not many have came about since, only a few. but the individual styles have varied a lot, its important to distinguish comercial pop from non-commercial or underground, commercial has a very uniformed market appeal, thats what makes it popular. artists that work outside that group are what drive musical progression. there many forms of pop, some are unheard by the public at large but have a huge following.

  • shoutcast radio is the best place to hear non-commercial styles, vnc player has a good resource of many shoutcast radio channels.

  • I don't see the difference between this (1992) vs the 2008 version. Sounds the same to me.

  • the 08 version has a harder club beat as opposed to the 92 versions house beat.

otther than that it is pretty similar

  • LOVE IT !

  • Amazing how all the kids love this song unaware of all the (albeit limited) history behind this track. 08, a remixed cover of a sampled cover of a way old song. lol LOVE IT!!!

  • LOL 92 is a way old song? :-)

  • seen them live in gloss(now hamilton palace :-( )back in 92 a sunday night 1100 people hard to believe but true.........!

  • it was a hit when it came out! was a clip for it too!

so emotional, this is a string theory song, meaning its' run has only just begun,

  • I've still got the "cas-single" - that's how fucking old I am!! Loved it then, love it now. Still, much better then ...

  • me too !! lol, am a bg kate fan tho

  • @AuntiePoo1 Same here, sweethart. Same here.

Just wish I could find it on the shelves these days

  • @AuntiePoo1

omg! i remember having the "cas-single" too. hilarious!

  • first they use a 7 year old sample, wait 16 years until remixing and THEN it becomes a hit!

    amazing...

  • the original was #4 in the charts

    the 08 mix was #8 ;)
