  • i was born in 75 and my ma has had the born to run lp has been playing in our home since, and i can honestly say not 1 song of that lp has diluted or aged, every time i listen to it it still brings tears to my eyes and makes me want to blow up with PURE joy, the best lp for me EVER written and played, perfect band and . . . . the bruce!

  • there may be some as good but none better

  • the big man came and joined the band, god bless big C

  • rip big man ;-(

  • the 2 people who did not like this should go fuck their moms fat hairy asses

  • Dam he's good!!! How the heck can he memorize all those words,I know he's not reading m in the dark!! B. S. N the band are just great!!!

  • Clarence is the most amazing and extraordinary sax player ever. The solo is played with so much feeling and talent that no one can turn it down. It is one of the best solos ever by far.

  • Intro to Prove It All Night, Point Blank, and Jungleland! Enough said.

  • hammersmith show was amazing!

  • It looks like he has a headache or something.

  • Mr. Clemons you play a mean sax i love the solo its has so much feeling i get goosebumps every time he hear this live version this is one of my favorite cds the whol concert is great

  • just the best song ever, I listen to this song every night before i fall asleep with all the lights off and it's the best moment of the day.

Extraordinary performance of the Boss and all the E Street band!

  • wooo i mean its a great song one of my favorites by him but i mean best moment of the day you have to get out more

  • glad to hear other people "get it" as much as me

  • Same. :)

  • And btw, the sound here is brilliant!!!!

  • This is the best song ever made and I allways say that if I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life - this would be it!

  • great song.....Born to run,Darkness on the edge of town and The wild, the innocent and east street shuffle WAS the best material he ever did......my opinion

  • killer vid! ******!

  • I wish I could give it 6 stars.

  • or atrillion

  • A masterpiece--enough said

  • this was the best concert i've ever heard from any band

    it was incredible....enough said

  • I just freaking love this song! It's an amazing song and I consider one of the best!

  • This is priceless.

  • anyone have an mp3 of this live performance?

  • Who is the pimp playing guitar? Not Little Steven is it?

  • it is.

  • do u see bands like ACDC and the Stones and many more pumping out grammy albums at the age of 59

the answer is no.. becasue they were all druggies and The Boss wasnt

  • the thing is bruce never got cluttered by his success yeah this is the beginning so there is an innocence to it but even now over 30 years later hes still rippin it up every night and its obvious that hes still all about his fans. look at the videos from the magic tour the intimate relationship he has with the fans from those right at the foot of the pit to the last row in the upper deck is tremendous

  • Did Bruce ever do any drugs/lots of alcohol?

  • He wrote a couple of songs after "Too many beers", Rosalita and Blinded by the Light I believe

  • Bruce was very outspokenly against the abuse of drugs and alcohol

  • Rastaman Bruce Springsteen!! Positive Vibration Mon!!!!!

  • Wow, This is live. God, we will nerver see a Bruce Springsteen like that ever again.. So uncluttered by success, Just like Elton John and Billy Joel's early days. Thanks

  • EXACTLY

  • This is by far the purest and cleanest live version of jungleland. Are you sure this is live??

  • The Stones, Wings, Lennon, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Zappa, Fleetwood Mac...christ, just too, too much. Wish Jimmy was making music at this time...

  • Best Era of music, live music, ever. Clapton, Bruce, Eagles, ZEP, WHO, Billy Joel and Elton. Simply remarkable rock and roll.

  • Hell yes

  • great great song

  • I love Steve Van Zandts suit.He looks like a pimp.

  • And still does ;)

  • Simply sheer Class.

But I would have to say I disagree with teenybeaudrie, I personally think that his best performance ever was in Slane Ireland (1985) was amazing.

Try to picture over 120,000 fans in one place all singing along to the Boss. The Atmosphere was unreal.

  • in my opinion.. this series of concerts.. hammersmith odeon in 75, are the best, hands down performance i think ive seen of bruce and the e street band. they just transcend... thats the only word i can use to remotely describe it. the music really touches me, in a strangly spiritual way. HIS PASSION!!! ...beautiful.

  • most beautiful lyrics...

  • There are plenty of "trained voices" out there that are simply not very interesting and end up as Las Vegas lounge acts. I think the energy and the "personality" of someone's voice is more important than the ability to carry a note. Cases in point: Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante, Ray Charles, Mick Jaeger, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and of course Bob Dylan. Nonetheless, if you can combine personality, passion, and vocal range, you end up with something special a la Elvis & Sinatra.

  • I also think it is about if they have other things to bring to the table, such as something worth hearing, which I think is what Bruce mixes with poetry. He seems to capture ordinary things that most people ignore, don't take the time they should to notice - for instance 'Girls in their summer clothes', he reminded me of things I never knew and should have known all along, at the level which he does.

It's perfected ordinariness or something like that, a simple, downtrodden yet perfect life.

  • And who's the best singer around, bloke?

  • Words of BS, "You ain't a beauty, but hey, you're alright."

The Passion, drive and style is what made BS one of the best...and still the best.

  • Wow! Vintage Springteem... From, "Darkness" tour? Awesome. I just recorded Jungleland Live from his show in Orlando last week. Tell me what you think. He was very emotional due to the loss of Danny!

  • this the "Born to Run" tour. he shaved, cut his hair and stopped wearing that nasty ass hat for the "Darkness" album. He was 24-26 years old at this point.

  • wow ive never scene Bruce before the 80's i never thought he was so skinny looks eerie...

  • it DOES NOT get better than Bruce!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely amazing song.

    The best one ever. Unforgettable.

  • Beautiful. Simply Beautiful...

  • Matchless
