  • I have a question. Why don't they pray to God instead of worshipping people in costumes? I like to know because I am sure that my ancestors once worshipped like this and I don't know of this.

  • These people are not wearing costumes, They are wearing their clothes. We do worship God (Olodumare) and other Orisha and Ancestors as well. This is a party going on, not a worship service. Perhaps the question you should ask is, why don't you know about African culture. Yes your ancestors did use drums, singing and dancing to worship the Deities and in Oyotunji  we still do.
