@HyperShadic191 it depends, if the laptop has good hardware but lags, you can try installing new drivers but if the laptop has bad hardware, then there's no way to decrease the Lag unless you set the graphics to their lowest.

@iaml4d2ellis11 You can't install l4d2 unless you have a admin account on your laptop. If you really want the game you'll need to log in as a administrator.

To use a 360 controller with a pc, you can either buy a wired controller, or a wireless dock for the computer.

Please delete the non-steam L4D, because i'm against piracy.

i have a HP compaq laptop and here's my settings(note:settings config is found on a l4d site) resolution:1024x768 anti-aliasing:none filter:trilinear/ antisotropic 2x 4x vertical sync:disabled multicore: not an option for my PC but its enabled Shader:low(because its not that important) effects:low model:id keep it low but i haz it on med page pool mem:high(as always) i still lag tho why? i tried model:low well this may help other laptop users as well. but plz help me

@PinoyPogiman Hey there, not all laptops are created equal, and my laptop may be more powerful than yours, try setting everything to low, and work your way up in settings until you find a balance when you have acceptable graphics, and little to no lagg.

Fake huh? well how can it be fake if i posted a video of ME playing it in realtime, you can even see the camera reflection off the screen and me controlling the game WHILE playing it.

Oh and not all laptops have to lag just because you say so, every laptop is different and some are more powerful than others.

i have a 900 dallor laptop..... it has lag and dont get all offensive bro were u using a controller with it? anyways get it on 360 its better and im a computer expert i know a lot

Yep was using a controller, And that laptop isn't the only computer i own, PLUS i came fifth in the state for I.T in N.S.W so i should say i know quite a bit too :)

nice, but i thought emachines was for budget computers, sadly to be honest when i provide tech support for beginner gamers, they often get e machines and complain about performance. i'm just a computer Enthusiast who builds his own computers, upgrades to the newest and best available.

Please tell me your joking, E-Machines are terrible for gaming, they are built for people with low budgets and performance-wise, are also terrible with ANY sort of 3D gaming.

Hopefully the new range you mentioned earlier can compete with the LOW end market such as HP's netbooks now running Nvidia ion and this Netbook happens to be more powerful than the most powerful computer E-Machines currently can offer..

Well crysis runs really well with a good mix of very high/high/medium but only at one of the laptops lower resolutions.

Other games i would suggest include all of the source engine games, batman dark asylum, mass-effect 2, l4d2, l4d, DiRT 2 GRID but the laptop can't seem to play Cryostasis for some reason, it just laggs.

You must first download and install the steam client, and once installed, go to store, and search for left 4 dead 2, the demo should be in the list.

Yep sure can, i have the same game on the laptop, runs flawlessly on it, with everything set to it's highest, except AA.. (Anti-Aliasing)

mhm, but i need to say that my gfx card is a bit overlocked. 10% power increase.

battery holds ca 1-5 to 2 hours while gaming.

i payd 999 euros.... dont know how much that is in dollars, i think 830 or something.

F.E.A.R. 2 on Max = 40-60 FPS

Far Cry 2 on Very High = 40-60 FPS

Crysis on High = 40 + FPS (you can put on very high but it will drop to like 25-30 FPS)

Left 4 Dead on Max = 40-60 FPS

It will run alot of games very well

i have the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 512MB and i manage 30 FPS on F.E.A.R. 2 Maxed out and Left 4 Dead plays around 30 FPS on max.

but Far Cry 2 run on High with aout 30 FPS
