DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THIS SHIT. I began using the Aloe Vera gel on Sunday, it's currently Friday and all it's done is made my face look 100x worst. lmao... i constantly pick at my skin. a little too much, since i always end up with open wounds after picking them. then i have to heal it and it scabs up after a week or two.

i use witch hazel and neosporin. then to cover it up i use liquid bandaids, and then cover it up with concealer.

I JUST had this problem (used harsh acne medicine and it basically burnt my face), i found what really helped was my normal cleanser actually (neutrogena acne stress control) because i mean its important to keep the area clean, and that cleanser has green tea and cucumber- great soothing ingredients. also, LOAD on the vitamin E right after you cleanse when your skin is soft. keep loading it on throughout the day or night and it should go away in 2-3 days:) mine did!

well i got a scab friday on my face like a little smaller then a penny, and it came off today it literally just peels off so it only took like two days but this process is not easy you have to keep checking your face. What i used was a couple of things i used lemon juice, toothpaste, and neosprin but neosprin and toothpaste is what i rcommend the thing you should do is keep it mosterized like this video says it truly works but now im scared that im going to have a big red scar any suggestions...

with a towel, tha warm water opens ur pores, and tha sugar removes dead/dry surface skin while the rapid srubbing bings out blackheads, whiteheads, small pimples which then tha lemon juice kills all tha bacteria. dont use neosporin on ur face, thts what causes blackheads (those little black dots that u may have on ur nose or on ur chin). Blackheads form when ur pores get clogged with grease and oil. u can get rid of them by taking a sponge, lemon juice, and sugar; first rinse ur face with warm water, apply some sugar to ur face and to the sponge, pour some lemon juice onto tha sponge and just start scrubing ur face intensely and rapidly for bout 5 minutes, then wash all the sugar and lemon off ur face- -

well be careful because that can turn into a scab so makes sure you keep it mosterized, i like to use toothpaste and neosprin together just dab toothpaste and then let it set for like 2 minutes and then dab some neosprin and if you keep mostrizing it, it should go away faster.. hope that helps =D

I am not sure about toothpaste on an open wound, thats supposed to be used on a zit/pimple that hasnt formed a white head yet. I use this mask that rely softens ur skin and makes ur skin shinny and fresh, its 2 tablespoons of any yogurt (fruit based ones r better cause the nutrients it has) 2 tablespoons flour and 1 tablespoon lemon juice or lime juice,mix that up and let harden for 15-20 mins. Put this all over ur face or the infected part i perfer the whole face cause it makes ur skin hydrate alot.! I also like to put ice on it cools it down and the blemish down but it all depends on ur scab i hope this helps.! =D

use hydra cortizone for a bad pimple and cover it with a band aid. This keeps the skin moist so the blemmish heals and the redness goes away to. Just do this before you go to bed so your not walking around with a band aid on your face. Also you can put a drop of visen eye drops on your pimple and this to keeps the redness down.

no one addresses this issue. when i'm left with an open sore/pimple and scar, my neosporin just doesn't do it. im always looking for natural stuff, since i dont wear any makeup, except for tinted moisturizer.

nonetheless, it's my hormones (im 17) and i've always wanted to find something to help heal my skin, because i pop my pimples (i know it's bad; im getting better)

i went to the tanning bed so i think that helped... but i go regularly so if you don't then i think burning your skin might not be beneficial.. i also used the aloe and then when it dried i lathered triple antibiotic ointment over the area then went to bed and in the morning it was a lot better and later in the day it i was able to remove it sooo i dont know what it was that was the best but these things worked for me soo im happy =]]]

I actually used a mixture of benzoil peroxide, an old acne cleanser, and a bit of salt. It stung really bad for about the first five minutes, but after it only stung a little. The mix actually cleared the scab up in about three days!

just be careful with putting the aloe vera on the scabs because when i did it the scab turned a permanent green black colour, which wasnt super great considering i had a formal in like three days. I ended up putting pure honey on them and it healed them much faster....using just your normal moisturiser is good as well. Just absaloutly packing it on to the scab..keeping it most and hyrdrated.

just a tip that I have found helpful....they make a little chalky like stick for men to use on the spots they cut shaving. It stops the bleeding. I found mine in the mens shaving cream section at walmart for around $2 I am a picker and popper and I used this the other day and it really helps! Makes them less noticeable.

I dunno if its better then aloe vera but i spot treat my scabs with hydrogen peroxide, it heals and kinda crisps the scabs in a way that they fall off easy and shrink in 2-4 days. Ofcourse my problem is that most of the time the acne is still underneath and it stays red for at least a week.

@carlitoboss hydrogen peroxide kills your cells. on the outer layer of skin, it dries it immensely and kills bacteria so some people use it for sanitation reasons but on scabs and open wounds, it burns because it oxidizes your wound and kills your active cells. you are killing bits of yourself when you use it

Hi Fran, It's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels that bit of depression when I get an unfortunate big one (and pick at in). When it happens, I do feel that low self esteem start to creep in like I'm worth less than when I have nice clear skin.

But I must say, when I started to stop picking, it got easier and easier to not pick because you see how fast that zit goes away and its not even a quarter as noticable. Have a blessed day!

Ive discovered aloe vera for pimples recently too. At my wits end with a horrible horrible break out on my chin, I slathered it on and voila redness was gone and much easier to cover with my mineral makeup.
