  • I hate it that this whole thing happened. It just brings out more racism on both sides.

  • @tokyo64shinobi.. Oh u bn rape? awww u wanna talk about it little human

  • @Tokyo64shinobi.. U jus hate Black ppl huh?lol well I'm black & love u hear? lol na cum give a hug my LIL human

  • On mute, one can hardly believe that this is The U.S.of A.

  • Let New Orleans sink, it is not feasible to sustain it. While the surrounding wetlands are swallowed up by the Gulf, we are going to be diking NOLA for what, so that we have a city 20 ft below sea level, sitting by itself in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, on the Mississippi river (which will be artificially elevated by levees) just so that hurricanes can blow through and the gulf can fill up the bowl that is NOLA....time to start thinking about moving NOLA upstream

  • Fuck these Katrina niggers do they care when we get murdered and raped by them??

  • In another video similar to this, there was actually footage of cops going into places that people had just gone in , and were taking things they needed. But these cops were being selfish and taking things for themselves like DVD's. smh

  • I'm crying now, after all these years, still painful to watch. All honesty, even I was mad at people for taking clothes/shoes. Mad because they should have focused on food/water. Then again clothes and shoes was wasted anyway when dropped and water. Shops and stores ruines, so why not let people keep them.

  • jesus christ

  • wtf is the cops problem? saying its there "duty" ?

duty from what? duty from preventing people on getting there food? there duty to point a gun at people because there so helpless and hungry? what has this world come to !

guys if you feel or think something is up and they say something will happen don't risk on not doing anything. be prepared. and if nothing happends then atleast be happy you get to live another day <3

  • Katrina was a case of the US Government not prepared for a Cat 5 storm to hit a city that is below sea level. They should have learned something from Andrew in 1992.

  • @Anthonyharris1325 go to hell you ignorant inbred dickhead

  • @Anthonyharris1325 QUE PENDEJO TU ES ESTUPIDO HIJO DE PUTA

  • you know when the government gives up on you

but is still willing to use money to stop you from surviving .

what is the point of the authority's - by gun point making these people drop

(and waste products and food ) just because of

    looting Law

The cops dont show up with help ,water ,food ,clothes or power

but instead to shoot you - in your time of need

are you fucking kidding me this is the truth showing it self

WHO YOUR GOVERNMENT REALLY WORKS FOR !!!!!!

  • Cry? Be sad? Sure. But BE PREPARED for this sort of thing. DON'T count on the gubmint to save you.

  • I am so so sorry for the victims of this tragedy. I pray to God that if there is in fact a God that the people who suffered this are ok today. And to Harvey Jackson may God put a hedge around you and your family so that you never hurt again. You have been through enough. I feel so ashamed to have all the things I have and people suffer like this. I pray that God makes all of your lives whole, and I pray that you all find relief. God Bless you Harvey Jackson.

  • George Bush really showed what an incompetent ass he was during Katrina. Stupid, tough-walking punk should have had 10,000 National Guardsman ready to go the minute the storm stopped. Stupid, tough-talking punk he was nothing but an incompetent punk.

  • @fatmaneatingcorn eat a dick? always thinking homo thoughts huh?

  • This is horrible man, heartbreaking and sad. I wish y'all all the best and I hope you get back all that you lost ten fold, and get back up on your feet and stand stronger than you did before. May God help you.

  • This was a natural disaster! How can anyone be racist about this situation? It wasnt a terror attack it was simply mother nature. I feel bad for everyone who suffered but white as well as hispanics and other races suffered. It just happens to be the majority was black. People need to stop blaming each other.

  • @thecreative if u listen it says "broken haliluhjea"

  • wow...the end...it got me...tears..

  • 5:50-6:00 "I can't find her body, she's gone." - immediately followed by a loud "Hallelujah"?! - Why the fuck is this bullshit song playing, anyway? - This video was put together under the false pretense of sadness, sorrow, mourning - Really, it just a celebration ritual for a damn ghost...

  • @TheCreativeMindFull - lol, I was thinking the same thing!

  • @AfroMohawkable - Word... Hey, I Know Of Some Beautiful Women That Can Learn A Thing Or Two From Your Page!

  • @AfroMohawkable - Word... Hey, I Know Of Some Beautiful Women That Could Appreciate Your Page! =)

  • I am tearing up over here! =(

i HAD 2 put this on my facebook. i have 2 say that im always in new orleans for about 6 months every year. every1 whom i ever came across has such a strong heart. i love the city, the enriched culture, the people and how every1 can come together when needed. this really made me cry especially at the end.

  • and thts the "greatest country in the world" a country that doesnt care about its own people

  • 2 words. WHY KATRINA

  • This is the first youtube video that has actually made me cry and cry....i cant stop.....i know this was a while a go but still.....it just so horrible :'(

  • I was on vacation where Katrina hit- i left the day before the hurricane hit- i feel like the luckiest person in the world

  • yup katrina showed irene lol but seriously i had got irene like august 25 i broke my arm :( lo l iwas in a raft

  • if new orleans sat on an oil well, how do you think things would have panned out?

  • I was in boot camp in georgia during hurricane katrina. its weird not being around and not even really hearing about it. Seeing it, watching it, reading about it, nothing. I think a letter from my family was the first time I even heard of it, and that was days later. Its like not being around for 9/11 or sleeping for the few weeks surrounding it.

  • whats sad is that i can still remember this.... hurricane katrina will never leave me...

  • i cried during this i'm going to do all i can to help that country .... i'm only 13 right now but i swear to god i'm going to help those country's

  • this video made me so teary eyed.

  • Evil man at 4:28. SMFH.

  • OMG this video has made me realize.. how fast you can loose EVERYTHING in the blink of an eye and that tomorrow is NEVER promised.. makes you wonder how you'd act if you were a survivor.. some of the people looked like they just wanted to kill themselves.. The man at the end definately I had my heart broken for him..

  • I loved the scenes with Bush. What a great guy. :)

  • The government will always turn it's back on it's poor.

  • "Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

    George Washington

  • IM IN TEARS !!!!!!

  • It pisses me off to hear everyone say it was the black people who got the shaft during Katrina. I am a white woman, with white children. After Katrina hit, we kept hearing, the National guard is coming, over and over again. Never did they show up. We lost everything except our lives, Thank God, and FEMA told us that we didn't get enough damage (because we rent our house) to warrant any help from them. It WASN"T JUST THE BLACKS IT WAS EVERYONE!!! DAMN IT!

  • God Bless the People :(. Lord please protect them, no one deserves this. no one. Everyone Please pray for those who face the next hurricanes to come.

  • I feel speechless for the man at the end. Just speechless :'(

  • the man at the end made me sad i hope that man found his wife i hope he is okay also

  • I remember seeing some stuff on Katrina when I was little....I didn't really get what was happening...I was too young, and now with Irene (I know it's not even close to Katrina, but it's pretty bad) I feel how much this impacts people. It's shocking.

  • if people were like this in katrin i cant imagine how poor people were after allen or camille worst hurricanes in history :.(

  • @ajs2201 In terms of deaths and damage, hurricane Katrina was worse than Camille and Allen. I was a baby when Camille hit us, and I was37 when Katrina hit us. In both storms we lived in the same city. NOT NEARLY AS MUCH DAMAGE OR DEATHS CAMILLE AS IT WAS IN KATRINA.

  • fuck police

  • Crying hysterical at the man at the end. this is so sad.

  • @LovesGreysAnatomy18: Me too :(

  • the song.

  • im literally crying right now watching the guy at the end

  • This is just too sad

  • lmao at 3:26 the cop makes him drop a basket of stolen nike's and i'm supposed to feel bad? What a fuckin joke

  • That news reporter was sweet & I feel for the man at the end. What was bush doing kissing that young girl so much. I doubt he realy gave a fuck about her.

  • SHAME ON YOU BUSH, SHAME ON YOU!!!

  • I AM CRYING MY EYES OUT THE GUY AT THE ENDING MADE ME CRY SO MUCH! :(((((((((((

  • Very hard to watch, I feel for the guy at the end in the yellow t-shirt. Colour or creed is irrelevant. 22 inhumane people out there.

  • Racist sicken me. It doesn't even have to be about black people, and it still sickens me. I happen to be African/Native American or black. As if ANY ethnicity is perfect. And for anyone to think this catastrophic weather was about wiping out a race, is disgusting. No city, state, or country deserves to have their home destroyed. Stop being ignorant. Your ethnicity isn't any better then others. Grow up and look at the big picture.

  • Man at the end broke my heart!!..To all the racist white people who think all black people are the sterotype that you see..we are not!!and Im sick of seeing the fuckin comment about 2 million blacks going to the inaguration in Washington but 200 thousand couldnt make it out of New Orleans...you dumb fuck..the majority of those people were poor in New Orleans..the 2 million blacks that went to the inaguration were from all over the country..and outside the US.so know your role and shut your mouth

  • @steven2be2003 ok Rock

  • @steven2be2003 the truth hurts doesnt it the city of new orleans and your black mayor failed you ha just another example of black people blaming white people for the failures of your black race help yourselves

  • @twogreatkids4us This was not just a "black thing", what about the white people in Louisiana & Mississippi? It wasn't just black people who suffered; this storm did not have any prejudice towards anyone. Black, white, red, yellow, and brown suffered through this storm. Im pretty sure you're not from here because if you were, you wouldn't be typing this ignorance. I will pray for you and your family tonight.

  • @chaynes601 Here are some real statistics for you...93% of the 1,836 fatalities were black (only 1,700 ppl died during pearl harbor and americans still mourn that like it was the holocaust)... 55% didn't have a car to evacuate... 68% neither had money in the bank nor a credit card, and most of the deaths were cause by flooding. The government received numerous warnings about the levees and did NOTHING beforehand. Not to mention only $40 million of $845 million in aid was accepted by Bush admin

  • @Nunew1234

Are you trying to say that the Mayor and Governor of Louisiana weren't worth a shit??

  • @CSATexan they werent we had a horrible hurricane in south florida a while back but we were okay because we had a good governor. Thats the tragedy here. Their mayor, their governor failed them utterly

  • @nonconformist20

I am on the other side of ya here in Houston. And I too have been through a bunch of Hurricanes. And yet the mayor and governor dropped the ball when it came to Katrina

  • @Nunew1234 i understand what you're saying, I know the statistics. I lived through it, I just hate when people want to just make this a black thing, I know white people and other races that suffered as well as us blacks. Some people will just take any issue and try to make it racial, its just sad that they do.

  • @steven2be2003 ya know what im sick of? everyone thinking that one white person being racist makes all of us racist... i dont care what color your skin is. just what kind of person u are. united we stand, divided we fall... and yes, i am white

  • @Docprepper i no all arent racist and heads up to you and i im black from one PERSON TO ANOTHER

  • @jazmin3595 amen to that brother

  • @steven2be2003 AMEN!

  • me too.

  • man, the last interview brought me to tears.

  • 22 people have no souls.

  • This is like a third world nation...here in America. 6 years later, still can't believe it. The government bastards did nothing. Nothing. My heart breaks for that man in the yellow shirt. God bless him.

  • Wow, I've never seen any of these videos so I didn't know Katrina was that bad. Katrina was one big ugly bitch! Watching this video made a knot in my throat

  • 22 people have no hearts

  • Two million African Americans showed up on D.C. for Obama's inauguration but two hundred thousand of them could not get out of New Orleans?? It is a shame they have to act entitled during a natural catastrophe rather than helping their neighbors.

  • @ibxncgc You are a step up from ignorant.

  • The guy right at the end made me cry like a baby.

  • this was the first time i was glad my grampa was gone. he was from new orleans, and this would have broken his heart.

  • Just THE saddest reality in America. I just cry and SMH... how could we do this to our own?

  • Very sad...

  • I was separated from my entire family. I was only 9 years old. I wish we can have our old days back where we can play in the streets and have fun. Now people just killing eachother. I just think God is still in my life and have me on his earth today.

  • Not for me to be late. But I truly my life before Katrina. The way my family bonded and we had everything. Now it went down hill from their. I remember the man jumping off the bridge. Where was the government only God knows. When my people where dying. My people going to jail from trying to feed their dying kids. Where was the Government then. Nobody knows what went through and we still going through it. Kids are still behind on school due to lost days of knowledge. Parents in debt.

  • bs they were told a week earlier it will be bad get out now or you are on your own well now we get to see the poor folk dealing with it they were told and they didnt listen

  • @olepossum69

You know what, stop being a fucking troll, and show some fucking sympathy and common sense. You said it yourself, these people are POOR. How the fuck do you expect a poor person, much less a poor family, to evacuate from the heart of fucking New Orleans (the more well off familys live in the suburbs, and so clogged up the interstates first), on less than 3 days' notice (we did know it was coming in the gulf a week earlier, but nobody knew how bad it would be or where it would go)?

  • @olepossum69 where were they gonna go? if you ain't got money, how are you gonna get there?

  • Its ashame that those poor innocent ppl had to endure this :(

  • At least the cop at 4:07 was real: "I can't say you're welcome to it, but you gotta do what ya gotta do to survive."

  • i feel so sorry for the man in yellow shirt....please...God help him to find his wife and reunite with his family...

  • his video brought me tears

  • I am a grown man of 39 years and masha'allah the brother in the yellow shirt had me in tears...may Allah bestow upon him the wings of mercy...

  • Beautiful, moving and disturbing. thanks.

  • I'm 18 now,I think I was 13 when the storm hit anyway I visited N.O the summer before Katrina and I absolutely loved it. Watching this bring tears to my eyes and strikes anger in me,reason being Bush took forever to help those in need and by me being the age I was theres nothing I could do. R.I.P to all those who lost their lives and to the family remain strong it will get better and he/she is in a better place looking down over you. Love ya'll

  • the end was very sad.

  • i feel sad now =(

  • of course fema didn't show up and effectively help out with the situation. a hurricane's perfect for killing off the poor. why ruin the effects? they wanted to get rid of the black community in new orleans anyway. just makes me sick.

  • @serpico89 OMG! I always say the same thing. I'm sick of people saying to stop complaining, because there was nothing we've could have done to stop nature. TRUE! But something could have been done to help my people. The government knew that many of the black people in New Orleans did not have transportation or the funds to leave the city when they were told to evacuate, and they knew that hurricane Katrina was going to destroy the city..

  • @serpico89 u gotta admit tho, the place has been cleaner ever since they be gone

  • @metalman343 sniff* i smell racism

  • @serpico89 haha yep I started thinking this "way" a few days ago when I was watching vids on here of "black" ppl in welfare/housing voucher lines, specifically in Detroit and Atlanta. Government assistant (free housing like Section 8, free education to ppl in "urban" communities, etc. is not always met to "help" black ppl, but "keep" them down so they won't progress in life.

  • @serpico89 Whos fema?

  • @MsScenexQueens FEMA stands for Federal Emergency Management Agency. its the department of the U.S. government that responds to disasters.

  • What ever happen to being SELF SUFFICIENT? Stop expecting the government to take care of you!

  • @msumrika i'm not expecting the government to take care of myself. so your saying that if people have been effected by a disaster that we should ignore them? the government has the funds to help communities out but they're too busy tied up with politics, corruptions, and greed backing up corporations. if you didn't know already, our government is one directly RUN by corporation i.e. they only have ONE concern - MONEY, and in any way possible. if the government doesn't help its people that what

  • @msumrika is its purpose? to boast its image? to have officials that don't do a damn thing in office? seems like a waste of time and people's money (the majority of america's money from the middle/lower class) don't you think? people like you really are stupid in how nonsensical you sound. the "white-boy brat arguing that he wants all his problems solved and does nothing for himself" stereotype is really getting old, fast. most of the american people and i actually work hard in having a

  • @msumrika a sustainable life, and not just one that supports us, but a self-fulfilling life. you think i don't literally help out organizations and that i'm not an activist? - by helping support the environment, the impoverished, and to block mass industrialization. do you think i don't protest and help others become more aware of the corruption that goes behind closed doors?? this isn't a black and white, republican/democrat issue. i hate both parties. you can hide and pretend that our

  • @msumrika government is 100% immaculate and righteous, and that everyone that works for in is just, kind, and concerned, but you need to wake up from your 1950's utopia. i know myself that the world will never be perfect and that world peace will never be accomplished. but that doesn't mean doing nothing will MAKE anything better! nothing - does not = doing. when the right changes have been made, then can society live with the set rules it has. you need to make sure that the people your support

  • @msumrika are continuing to do their job, and not being coaxed by laziness, and a false sense of security, above the law. it's a cycle. it isn't conservatism nor is in liberalism. it's both.

"the radical of one century is the conservative of the next. the radical invents the views. when he has worn them out the conservative adopts them." - Mark Twain

  • @msumrika shut the fuck up like you would be so self-sufficient if every goddamn thing you had in this world was gone and you were in some flooded wasteland. You need to get a soul you self-righteous monster. Their government failed them miserably!

  • @TheMssheeda12 They are pushing people, because they are stealing food and other stuff from stores.

  • oh my...lots of looters....im such a fool thinking of them as thieves

  • I cry when i see that guy at the end (i want to know where he is now)

and when those women were talking to Bush, Bush wasn't even really listening. He was to busy making sure he looked good for the camera

  • Comment removed

  • so sad..

  • Bush sucks!!!!.

  • Bush was always trying to save face, it took him FOREVER to get to Louisiana. He had to do something, was taking too much heat. Bet he scrubbed his mouth after kissing them, bastard. WIth all the death and destruction why is that people can't be sympathetic to the ones who have perished or who have had loved ones perish right before their eyes. Really, were still talking about black/white? From my understanding both black/whites lived in the 9th ward and have either died or lost someone.

  • @mature198 true, very true and there was even whit ppl in the video, so it wasnt even about race, it was about survivin, but the assholes in the comments are too ignorant to know that, smh

  • Please remember the folks in Mississippi too. My heart goes out to all who suffered a loss, but my Mississippi friends and family are often overlooked by the media.

  • @ 5:00 ( with the two young ladies) there is proof that BUSHitter did care about Black people so there Kanye!

  • RIP to all that lost their lives. Even the reporter cried when interveiwing the man who lost his wife

  • The cops were monsters for a lack of worse word and Bush, after the cameras stoopped rolling he wiped his hands on a reporter.

  • this is crazy

no homo but this video touch my heart real tlk

  • this is crazy

  • The white cop says "I can't say you are welcome to it, but you gotta do what ya gotta do to survive!!!! " That man has a fing heart.

  • @macksfischer A month later america sent help to Pakistan!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im from the westbank of new orleans and it was hell on earth!

  • George Bush was just posing for photos.

  • i live in broward county florida i remember when this hit here for a cat 1 it was pretty strong i remember getting our power back and hearing how much of a beast this storm became all i know is we got soo lucky my heart still goes out to the victims and thyre famliys oh PS fuck the goverment!

  • they aren't giving them food, they arent helping them... and they wont let them do it for themselves either. What the fuck? Thats so fucking sickening.

  • THE POLICE HAD SUM NERVE TO TRY TO SHOOT OUR SERVING VICTIMS FOR TRYING TO KEEP ON SERVING... PEOPLE COULDN'T EVEN GET FORMULA FOR THERE BABIES.... THIS IS A FUCKED UP WORLD AND FOR THEM OFFICER'S KILL UR SELF NOT THE KATRINA VICTIMS U SICK FUCK'S...

  • This shows just how close we are to disaster. Few people believe the economy can tank completely and people will struggle to survive some people could starve etc because of the economy. Almost no one believes that could happen... but no one thought something like Katrina could happen before 2005 did they?

  • Regardless of how people feel about other races, we all bleed the same color. The flesh is a mean thing. You cant sit in front of your computer screen and not feel bad for what our fellow Americans had to endure on the horrible day. Some people are just senseless and should keep there comments to themselves. God Bless each and every individual that experienced that tragic day in American History. GOD loves each and every one of you. God has never left your side even today.

  • FUCK THE GODAMN GOVERNMENT! FUCK THAT ASSHOLE BUSH! MAYBE IF HE WASNT BUSY BREAKING THE FUCKING WORLD MARYBE HE COULDVE SAVED SOME LIVES!!

  • GOD BLESS YOU ALL,
