  • u rich?

  • not over 9000? vegeta is not impressed

  • Man all of these that i've seen has bleach, is it really that good?

  • You don't have Detective Conan?

  • @MyMrGravity

Indeed, we don't have Detective Conan nor Bleach (the same reasons like Naruto + I don't particularly like detective stories (manga or novels) )

Nevertheless, if you don't see a serie in the video, that doesn't mean that we don't have this serie. For example, we have Gunnm, Basara, Angelic layer, Chobits, Devilman, Psyren, Captain Tsubasa, Monster, Kimagure Orange road, Ayashi no Ceres etc...but not stored yet in this room ;)

  • Holy shit...... Can I move to your house by any chance. O.O

  • i would marry your room..... MANGA!!! T.T

  • ... Holy shit.

    I'm guessing you like manga?

Oh, can I move in? Pretty please? D:

  • ...where do you live exactly? The moving van says I have to tell them the address...

  • does he ave a mini shop of manga over there

  • Where did you get the neon genesis eva 01 from?

  • i would love love love to be at your house my collection is at 500 and still growing but yours is very impressive kinda making me jealous hahaha

  • :0 wow! Bien sur c'est,c'est out of this world!

  • do you like manga by any chance

  • So, if you laid all these mangas out on the ground, how many times could they circle the earth. 20, maybe 50 times?

  • I bow to thou....

  • *-* so i love you :D

  • i worship you :D!

  • It's like holy grail of manga O.o

  • anime nerds.. UNITE!

  • Would it be possible if i like move into that room

  • your neatness get me really envious rawr! >xD

  • I feel like invading your house now xD

So did u try counting your mangas?? cos its not surprising if u have like 200 or 300 books really :D

  • @dinkymak

For the update of this video, I'll count exactly these books. But for example, there are 550 books on the first shelf that you see in the video ;)

So, as there are 6 other shelves with the same size, 4 with half of this size, 2 small under the window, and the white-mini with 200 books, I will be very surprise finally to have only 300 books

  • Wtf 0.o I dont see anything about naruto :/ btw nice collection

  • @TheMesias2012

Indeed, I don't own anything about Naruto. I'm not a big fan of shounen series anymore (I'm too old ? ). So, even if there are still that I love, I made choices and I buy more series with things that I would not have already read elsewhere (this is why most of my purchases are seinen series).

Nevertheless, a collector's version of Naruto manga will be out soon in France, and this will be an opportunity for me to discover this serie !

  • YEAH fuckin death note best manga/anime series ever

  • O.O Heaven

Q: do you ever re-read/re-watch any series' or do you just keep adding to your collection(s)?

  • @UsagiKuroChan

It's very rare that I re-read my books (in general just to remind me of old events) and almost never re-watch my DVD, since I didn't really have time to read or watch everything I buy ^^''

    @VictorBettencourt

It seems to be Viz media, but it's not me that you should ask such questions, because I don't own any manga in english version ^^''

  • Vive Jojo's Bizarre Adventure !

  • i want to pe you ur child

  • one person lost the game. :3

  • You should make a manga library

  • If you have erueka seven manga can do a review on it thanks

  • @HollowIchigo52

Sorry, but I don't own eureka seven neither in manga nor in anime. Anyway, if I am able to do many detailed reviews of a title, it is only in French. Too difficult in English for me ^^'' (and impossible on a vid)

  • @Kalkin27 Hi friend beautiful collection!!!

Got a question for ya...What publisher had plublished Saint seiya manga in english version?

    thanks

  • There's so much manga that it looks fake you sure are a lucky person with a lot of cash

  • it's like a library of manga books XD

  • Can we switch rooms..I'm so jealous :O So much manga!

  • Hey! I haven't known that paradise is in France, I'm so sorry. Your collection is just awesome. It is the biggest collection of manga I've ever seen. Greetings from Germany. ^__^

  • OMG. :D

  • HUGE EVA 01!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Must be a Bitch to pack if you move

  • @ARVMC Yeah, and then you have to unload it too and resort.

  • :'O this is what heaven looks like

  • question: what one is your favourite?

  • This is amazing, and here i thought my collection was getting pretty big...guess not.

  • very awesome

  • i sure hope you signed a pre-nup rofl

  • Thanks you all for your very cool comments !! :D

    @tencredits

No need of that, because our collections can be separated easily (each has its own listing always updated) ^^. To summary : 4000 volumes for me and 3000 for her.

    @k3nny019

There are many, among our 1100 different series. To only name the most popular series : Berserk, HunterXhunter, Hikaru no Go, Jojo's bizarre adventure, Fruits basket, Fushigi Yuugi, Please save my earth, 7 seeds, Vagabond, Battle angel Alita...

  • @Kalkin27 smart man.

  • Gosh!! I would definitely find a partner that'll have same interest as mine!! So sweet and cool!!! I do want to have a room like that!! O.O

  • Expect that room empty tomorrow

  • How is there a dislike?

  • what this is crap this is takeing over your room boring

  • you are truly a god

  • LOL that looks like a store of manga/anime books

  • ilove manga and all but lol? mangas a lot of money u must be maken then trillions but the secs boi =)

  • I kneel before you ...

  • I am so Jelly.

  • Just wow. Did you ever manage finishing all of them?

  • Question: is this otaku heaven :))???

  • respect for the eva

  • All the ecchi manga is in the back isnt it! jkjk :)

  • amazing! how much did that massive Evangelion statue cost, and where did you get it?!?!

  • @Championmathias

As I said before, I bought it in Paris (and I don't live in Paris), in a store specializing in mangas and figurines. It was on display in the window,

Its selling price (Japanese sales price) is 155.000 yens, so approximatively 2000 USD ! In my case, as it was not new, I got it cheaper, even it was my most expensive (and crazy) manga purchase I ever made until now ^^''

    @LukkiiAsian

Yes it is, all my hentai mangas are hidden there ^^

  • That's amazing! XD

  • amazing

  • Can i ask were u got the otomen pic in the frame :-)

  • @lust4anime

    Oh! yes ;)

This picture is a support that was provided at european greatest manga festival "Japan Expo" in PARIS. On this, the original author of Otomen, Aya Kanno, made her nice signature.

  • wow I'm really jealous

  • Dang you so rich

  • omg! you have FMA figurines! i love it! :P

  • 8:18 you have no idea how lucky you are to own that XD

  • this is insane XD!!!

  • if you were my friend, we'd spend most of our time in that room together

  • im in love <3 when i saw this i was like :D and then i thought with all tht anime figures and manga how much was all that!?!? o.O i hope i get a big collection like that

  • This is so beautiful :')

  • Hope to see your updating your collecting and telling us what series you got, etc. On a different note, I'm confused as to what I should do. I own a little over 100 manga and I want to keep collecting, its an extremely fun hobby, but also expensive. Some of the series I want to read can't be read in English, OFFICIALLY, but if I like that series I want to physically own it (some series I want have also been canceled). The collector in me wants to buy them... but I won't be able to read them!

  • @sephirothfromff7 Any advice?

  • @sephirothfromff7 I know what you mean! i have a few books in japanese, not because i can READ japanese, but because the collector in me just says "I WANT THEEM!!" . i must say, even if i can't read it, i can still look pictures and im proud of having them (it's only 16 books or so i have in japanese)

  • It hurts because I know I don' have the money.

  • drugs for otakus

  • j'adore ta chambre!!je veux la meme!!^^

  • what the hell do you do with your life

  • Don't be suprised if most of your collection goes missing within the next few weeks.

  • Bitchin! Thank you for sharing!

  • are some of these mangas in japanese? o:

  • @Missblackparade94

Yes, my I''s collection (15 volumes of Katsura) is in its original version (I own the french one too, but not on this video). Also, the white shelf with mini-mangas contains, of course, mangas in japanese (200 volumes of Tezuka). and that's all... ;)

  • *JAW DROPS AND STARTS DROOLING*

....... that is one hell of a collection! I. AM. SO. JEALOUS!!!! :o

  • intimidatingly great collection! what was your favorite romance/comedy that had a lasting impact on you? maybe a twist ending or something unexpected. keep in mind i like my manga a bit mature, i dont need ecchi though but i like manga that is real life for example the struggle with sex, and friendship, and jealousy. im picky with this stuff but i love real life romance types.

  • @merclydead

Wowww..another difficult answer to find ;)

I am tempted to respond with ease with "Nana", but if it has strong emotions at the first part, it's still a bit artificial for the rest. a most affecting work of Yazawa is rather "last quarter" I think. Lately I read the masterpiece of the 70s of Kazuo KAMIMURA : "Dousei jidai", the atmosphere is very realistic and exhilarating : a mustread!

Otherwise, if I could choose a Josei that remains in my heart, "Kimi wa pet" is a lovely title :)

  • WHERE DID YOU GET THE GIANT EVINGALION MODEL?!! MUSTOF COST A SHITLOAD!!

  • @eyeshild21fan

I bought it in Paris, in a shop specialized in mangas and figures. It was the decoration of the window, and as it was not new, I got it cheaper ;)

  • ,Y GOD! YOU MUST HAVE MORE BOOKS THAN YOUR LIBRARY!!!

  • I'm guessing youve probably heard of almost like every manga/anime ever? ahaha<3

  • @Missblackparade94

Absolutely not, I still have much to discover !! ;)

  • Holy shit, its like a fucking library of manga. I am truely and utterly jealous. D: <3

  • Besides that i loved your manga collection, the room itself looks really really comfy!!!

  • Great room tour! I gotta ask but what is your favorite manga series out of ALL of these manga?

  • @tuck950

Interesting question, but the answer is really difficult ;)

I suppose that, concerning shônen, my favorites could be HunterXHunter, Hikaru no GO and Jojo's bizarre adventure. For shôjo, I could choose Please save my earth, Fruits basket or Versailles no bara. And for seinen (this is what I have the most), Let's choose Berserk, Vagabond, Gunnm or The world is mine. For classical series, my favorites are Phoenix (Tezuka) and Sabu to ichi (Ishinomori).

  • @Kalkin27 Thanks alot for the reply! I would like to try hunterxhunter and also Hakaru no Go! The world is mine also sounds like a good series! You should make more videos!

  • EPIC ROOM!!! Nice and organized. :3 manga library lol

  • ITS LIKE A LIBRARY :D

  • IT'S NOT OVER 9000 BUT IT'S OVER 5000!!!

  • Wow. ; D

  • Does anyone know if there are any online websites where i can buy that melancholy of haruhi suzumiya poster?

  • Wow, awesome.

Watching this makes me happy that there r so many Anime/Manga fans out there. ^_^

And The 1 who DISLIKED it. Must did the same thing, But he goes Bankruped....

  • You have a manga museum! OMG, fantastic collection!!! This is what helping the anime industry is about! Buying a shit load of anime products you love!!! ^_^

  • @Animeforever18

Thanks! Moreover, this is precisely one of the points that has been emphasized in our collection : as much as possible, we support publishers with new purchases (used items only if not otherwise findable). The problem is that some (too) nice series was stopped because of low sales in our contry, and I hate that. IMHO, help the industry to continue to provide us beautiful works seems very important!

And a note for all other : many thanks for all your warm comments ;)

  • @Kalkin27 I always try and support the anime industry I love it too much to let see it fall down. My collection of DVDs and manga's are not as impressive as your's but I do have a video of it if you want to check it out ^_^ It's "I support the Anime Industry' video.

  • @Animeforever18

I had already seen your vid few days ago ;) Nice collection and good mind that I agree to 100 %. It's nice to see people motivated to defend their passion and are not just consumers ! (such consumers disgusted me a lot few years ago for a similar story : they preferred to have an illegal DVD product (up to defend the outlaw publisher!) rather than support the authors and wait a legal product)

  • i was so impressed i subscribed.

  • This truly is impressive..

  • I WAAANT TO ROB YOU SO BAD XD

  • This is....I....I have no words....

  • whats the black thing at 0:28 ?

  • @metaltyler1

It's a plush of black Mokona, mascott of the series "XXXholic" and "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle" by CLAMP ;)

    @davidluna2442

For sure she likes it, but the best is that she's also a great video games player (another of our passions :) )

And thank you all, the 9000 spot is provided in three years, lol.

  • OMG ITS A MANGA LIBRARY

  • God , this is the paradise :Q___

  • no, dude. IT'S OVER NINE-THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!

  • can you get out of my room

  • soon to be OVER 9000!!!!!!!

  • your wife is awsome if she likes anime/manga my girlfriend hates it

  • Amazing, that happend when true otakus come together.

  • JESUS HOLY DICKS, WHAT

  • That is too awesome..... This is my dream...

  • wow what a collection I am mostly into the DVD, and blue - ray but wow you must really like Anime.

  • wow. very nice room. that's a lot of manga

  • :O....

  • what is that song called ur playing?

  • @Anniehook02

The song is "Deceiver of fools" from the album "mother earth" by the metal/rock band "within temptation". The last BGM is one from the anime of Dragon quest (dai no daibôken) ^^

  • @Kalkin27 okay i got the first one. But whats the song called from dragon quest?

  • @Anniehook02

It comes from Dai no Daibouken OST (Movie/CD1). The opening theme from 'Dai no Daiboken' (no specific name to my knowledge)

  • @Kalkin27 okay got it. thanks

  • can i like.. move into there... O.O...

    >.< i'll just read all day every day. you won't even notice me i promise :D! (my over 200 books.. look like nothing compared to this xDDD)

  • WOW...

  • Can you give me the names of all the manga ?? o.o

  • @xoxBuonoxox

I give the list on the intro of this vid. Check the link above ;) (sorry, if some titles are in their french version)

  • Comment removed

  • wow!

  • @Anniehook02 now thats devotion!

  • Were those miniature manga's at 3:05? I am in deep love with your very large and amazing collection; I am very jealous of your master piece! Great work! Once something is added, I would love to know, so therefore I subscribed. ^^

  • @DarkerThanBlackAndy

    Many thanks !

Next year, I will probably make another vid, more complete (the last on this apartment, after that we will have to move for more space lol )

Concerning mini-mangas, as I said before, these are 200 mangas of Osamu Tezuka, with the tiny format of 5.0 x 6.8 cm (2.0 x 2.7 inches) and are the exact reproductions (of half) of Tezuka's Kodansha complete works. They are perfectly readable, and have a beautiful print quality (in japanese language of course ;) )

  • Also: are you familiar with the series Kingyo Used Books? I have a feeling you would like it, given its subject matter :)

  • @YoSoyEdo

I didn't know this serie (moreover it isn't published in France) but I looked at what it's about and it sounds very interesting indeed (for similarities, I'm also looking to collect more rare titles). Thank you for pointing that out!

  • Random question: how is everything organized (if it even is)?

    BTW I have only 20 or so Manga… ^_^

  • @YoSoyEdo

for the organization that require a long answer, but for the sake of brevity, let's say that there is no specific plan. There are some groups of series by author (a kind of tribute to corner several places in the library) but even there, all the books of this author are not necessarily there. Which guided the storage is to maximize the limited place and the position and development of all series. Not a (classic) linear storage but the chaos of colors and shapes of a metropolis

  • I almost fainted when I saw that neon genesis statue, I wish I had a kick ass wife like you.

  • Oh my gosh. @.@ How many have you read? All of them?

  • @xTHExFALLx

In this roomn almost everything has been read, but not always by the same person of the couple ;) Some are read by two, and some only by one of two. Of course I want to read all of them at the end. For completeness a few complete (and not yet read) series are also stored in this room for lack of space elsewhere. It is the series in two rows with the first volumes in the front (otherwise the first volumes are behind)

  • What! thats a lot of manga ! I thought i had a lot with 400 vols of manga. I wish i had that many =P

  • ... --.-- Everyone is always telling me that /I/ have a big collection... I DON'T EVEN HAVE 100!!! I R JEALOUS!!! I HATE YOU!!! OUT OF JEALOUSY!!! GRRRRR!!! I WOULD SERIOUSLY SELL MY SOUL TO SEBASTIAN FOR THIS ROOM AND ALL ITS CONTENTS!!! D*:<

  • @BlackRoseButterflies

Lol, sorry for that, but you are still young and have time to increase your collection a lot. See you in 20 years ;)

  • 0.0 OMG!!!!!!!! I have only been collecting 4 years and only have 891! I bow to you!

  • @KoraggtheKnightWolf

0.0 OMG!!!!!!!! And I bow to you because i've been collecting anime for about 5 years & manga for about 3 years, I only have 180+ in anime & 260+ in manga, not even half of 891

    ._.

  • @KoraggtheKnightWolf

    Thank you very much!

your collection is already nice and the value of a collection is not only measured by the amount of items ;).

Moreover, in France, it has become quite common to have more than 1000 books in its collection (for example, over 1600 people have this type of collection (over 1000), according to the site I manage my collection, but that doesn't mean they were all hard to build...)

  • Very impressive. Over 6000+ items? For my collection of manga & anime it'd take light years to get anywhere near there.

Also I noticed you uploaded a game related video before this, can we expect to see a video game collection too?

  • We specifically have exactly 6382 vols of manga, manhwa and manhua and some other artbooks, fanbooks, guidebooks. And 721 DVD/Blu-Ray (a box of DVD accounting for one DVD). So, we exceed 7000 items.

I will try to put the entire collection in a future video (with slideshow pics for the rest)

For a video game collection, sorry, we don't have enough to be very interesting (even if we also have a good interest in video games). Besides, games and consoles are not at all rows in a presentable way lol

  • my jaw has dropped...

everyone claims that my collection is enormous, but i do believe you have dwarfed it considerably! (by six times, if I read your description correctly!)

it is a spectacular collection, congratulations! :)

I also love the size and appearance of the French (and Japanese) manga volumes. The American ones are rather bulky and not as neat looking as the ones you have :)

  • Thank you very much !!

The first french mangas were similar to the american ones. But in the middle 90's, a new publisher tried sucessfully to publish books the most similar to the original japanese ones (in size and with a jacket cover and not only a simple softcover). However, some other french manga have other characteristics, that aren't those of japanese books, especially some deluxe editions (hardcover and/or sized comics, bookmark integrated)

So the books that are larger or thicker above ;)

  • I would love to have that in my room :D

It's beautiful this right here ); How much money in total xD?

  • @simonheros

    Thanks !

I don't know exactly how much it all cost, but certainly tens of thousands of dollars (considering that the majority of items have been purchased new, with an average of 6-7 euros per volume for books example). However, these purchases were most of our entertainment budget for years, and it would be far less resale (especially DVD).

  • What is that model of at 8:19?

  • @Jario657

This figure is Hatsune Miku, the VN02 remix model from Max factory ^^

  • @Kalkin27 thanks man, it's an awesome collection

  • Amazing collection, looks like a Japanese book store! I feel like making my game room into a Japanese themed room with manga, anime, and all that stuff. :D

  • One day I would love to have a room like this.

  • 3:33 Black Butler spotted WHOO!! =3

  • How long did it take to get all those o_o

  • @cupcake12winx

I bought my first books 16 years ago, and my wife 1
