Hey sweet video man. I had a quick question though how well does the savage handle jumps like these? i had a t-maxx 3.3 and i just couldn't even dare or it wouldve broke in half lol.
Savage takes it very well, I RARELY broke anything on it, my brother has a much larger fixed parts list with his tmaxx, he even broke upgraded parts like aluminum bulkheadss all the time and a-arms Ive cracked an a-arm never broke in half and still drive with it lol
only thing I break is driveshafts and spurs from too much power with the modifed engine I have in my truck
savages are much tougher somehow but i think the traxxas quality is much better, the way that the savage skid plate is the only thing holding the a arm hinge pins in kinda makes me a bit wary of it. either way they are tough
i am sorry to admit to this lol, i still think the overall design of traxxas products are better. regardless of if they break they look neater and seem to be easier to navigate sometimes. but HPI deffinately make a bang for buck in terms of keeping it running. my mates e sav handles shit unlike my e-maxx but hey... i dont like giving mine shit, they are almost a different cateogry :-/
savages are tougher "somehow" because they're designed beefier, whereas traxxas knows replacement parts sales = $ and makes the thinnest shittiest little parts known to man
She maxx vs Savage, the savage wins in alot of classes, the only thing the tmaxx has on my savage is it looks nice and clean sitting on the shelf.... UNUSED because its broken.
Traxxas may have some intuitive designs but they dont amount to much strength
I also wish people would stop comparing the tmaxx to the savage because they are totally different platforms, the savage is BIG BLOCK , 1/8 scale, oh and the driveshafts arent plastic for a reason
im giving u a tip, check your brakes, whennur doing speed runs dont let ur truck go half throttle into a cement barrief and break a frond diff and servo gears(steering)
in the video the only mod would be ofna throttle lingage, and the tank relocated up front. savage doesnt need hopups, I have alum a-arms but they stay in the tool box
wow nice vid!! love the song!!! and the savage man they just take the beating all day, do u have any upgrades or is it pretty much stock? kepp the vids coming!!!
How are you liking that Axial 32 by now? I posted a couple of videos of mine ripping some wheelies. I switched to an Ofna 086 pipe and it really kicked up the top end. I am too easy on my trucks I guess, I never really got into the jumping, but it sure looks fun! Thanks for sharing!
I jump my truck day in and day out and The only thing Ive broken would be spur gears and diff bearings, other than that you can feed the savage a jump that big and still have room for desert(tmaxx)
Good Vid! scrogger. I have a savage with a axial .28 and was contemplating on getting a .32 but not sure if I want to deal with all the torque. The .28 is hard on drive train as it is.
WILL TRADE MAMMOTH MT FOR SAVAGE

The hpi design is by far the winner here, the hinge pins stay where they should and rarely break.
