  • that was mtv.

  • mtv sold out and sold their soul to the devil years ago...thus keeping up the usa routine alive

  • If I had a time machine I would go to Glastonbury in 1993!

  • woke up in a field, some sound in the background.... The Glastonbury Real Lemonade Company sorted out the drooth, and Verve came onstage sorted out my soul. Remember that day well, even if I don't remember the night before.

  • I should try to upload the Muchmusic/acoustic performance of this song from 1993 which I think is the best performance I ever heard of this song. Verve are my favourite band of all time and A Storm in Heaven is my fave album of all time.

  • @chipsnippet you should

  • Richard looks like Alex Turner without guitar in this vid.

  • "We're going to Europe... and then Japan... and America... and the whole World... and then Mars"

  • Cheers for the upload. This is a sensational version! Yaasss!

  • This performance should be released

  • @mrlemonwho this performance is released, I'm pretty sure its on B-sides & outakes album. GREAT!

  • @thabudmaster only Gravity Grave (and Make it till Monday on 7 inch ) were released

  • this is the best version i've heard.

second the thoughts on the band Exit Calm, everyone who likes this music will like the band mentioned - an already fantastic band and their album isnt even out yet!

    CHECK THEM OUT

  • @scottybrd I was interested in you recommendation about Exit Calm. There are defo similarities but ultimately Exit Calm lack the soul and blues aspect that is so strong in the Verve's stuff. Nick's guitar playing is heavily based in the blues and very fluid. Exit Calm haven't quite got there yet :)

  • One of the greatest bands ever..

Listen to Exit Calm for the only modern band who come close to this sound

  • Great band, great song, great performance!

  • awesome. my favourite albums are storm in heaven and northern soul. urban hymns is great too.

  • I wholeheartedly agree

  • this version of make it till monday absolutely dominates the album version,

  • This band is epic.

  • best works ever!

  • why not? you have been

  • 16 years ago... I seem to remember he was having trouble getting the crowd going... very hot day!

  • It wasn't that hot that day compared to the rest of the weekend.

  • Richard and Paul talking about the weather, very English :P

  • Does anyone know the chords to Make it till monday????

  • i just strum the notes. Try AM during the "In a moment you changed..." part.

  • best period

  • I was there....awesome weekend and my first glasto.

  • richard is god

  • you idiot.

  • i was born just a year before this... (;

i wish i could've had the chance to have been there... amazing

  • now youre gonna have a chance to play there yourself.

  • now thats something to work/hope for.

  • definitely! just my plans

  • This version of Gravity Grave was on the compilation "No Come Down" one of the bands high points.

  • Richard has a nice arse here

  • Ashcroft is about 21 there.

  • how old were they when they put out this record? He looks sooo young

  • Brilliant full band version of the acoustic version on No Come Down and Storm in Heaven.

  • Verve changed my life back in the '90s.

A Storm In Heaven is the best album ever released.

  • great record one of my faves from my youth

  • @ond667 its good but its not the best definitely maybe is the greatest album of all time

  • @bigSlide94 as if. listen to a storm in heaven.

  • @ond667 yeah the first four tracks on that disc really had an impact on me.

  • @ond667 Totally agree

  • @ond667 absolutely right mate, Feel the same. So downhill from Urban Hymns. But then they changed my life. First saw them with about 100 in Liverpool, then supporting smashing pumpkins. Genius. Feel, grav grave, grey skies, blue, etc

  • @ond667 northern soul is better

  • me making it every monday!!!!!

    verve = BLISS!`cmon cmon!

  • At their best...COME ON!

  • great show here. I got gravity grave on a cd single from 1993 the same live version here. amazing wow!!!

  • I was at that glastonbury and I missed this. I also missed them subsequently at glasto when they were in their northern soul phase. In my defence, I didn't know them at the time!

  • think this was 120minutes. paul king ha ha!

  • that is so amazing, i was only three at the time, but have been totally inspired by the verve for like five years now.

  • MTV used to show music?

  • So they say...

  • One of the best bands ever. Certainly one of the best of the 90's.

  • im going to the O2 to see em in dec tickets are stuck to the fridge. cant wait

  • i am so glad this band is back together....

  • A storm in heaven still blows me alway.

  • ooh I was there....

  • Great vid! From the era MTV was a music programme.

    Gravity Grave is awesome!

  • that was sweet, young Dicky Ashcroft rockin it out! "im gonna check out the orb later'' xcellent!
