woke up in a field, some sound in the background.... The Glastonbury Real Lemonade Company sorted out the drooth, and Verve came onstage sorted out my soul. Remember that day well, even if I don't remember the night before.
I should try to upload the Muchmusic/acoustic performance of this song from 1993 which I think is the best performance I ever heard of this song. Verve are my favourite band of all time and A Storm in Heaven is my fave album of all time.
second the thoughts on the band Exit Calm, everyone who likes this music will like the band mentioned - an already fantastic band and their album isnt even out yet!
@scottybrd I was interested in you recommendation about Exit Calm. There are defo similarities but ultimately Exit Calm lack the soul and blues aspect that is so strong in the Verve's stuff. Nick's guitar playing is heavily based in the blues and very fluid. Exit Calm haven't quite got there yet :)

no you are for worshiping a money grabbing ego cruising tit who has lost all soul...he is now known as lord flashcroft....everyone has a good laugh at him....your the dick...
@ond667 absolutely right mate, Feel the same. So downhill from Urban Hymns. But then they changed my life. First saw them with about 100 in Liverpool, then supporting smashing pumpkins. Genius. Feel, grav grave, grey skies, blue, etc
I was at that glastonbury and I missed this. I also missed them subsequently at glasto when they were in their northern soul phase. In my defence, I didn't know them at the time!
that was mtv.

mtv sold out and sold their soul to the devil years ago...thus keeping up the usa routine alive
