Ok good job guys you had a few problems with going flat and sharp but this is one of the best versions i have seen on Youtube so far I know this was your director's decision but I would have loved it if you guys sang this song slower and a little more legato. I am singing this piece this year and it even more moving like that. It bothers me how the men get such a short time to hold Gone because the whole song is strong connected chords and that seems abrupt overall great job and i love this song
For the most part that was pretty good you guys had a few issues with going flat and sharp in some parts. I know this was your director's decision but I would have loved to hear you guys sing this much slower..I am singing this piece this year and its even more moving if you take it slower..one thing I hate is how short the men get to hold Gone..I always want to hold it longer because the whole song feels connected and strong and long chords and that just feels to abrupt.love this song good job!
A choir I was in did this song a few years ago. The guy that wrote this version of the song actually directed us. This song is so much fun to sing when it's done well. This is the best performance I've heard of this version. It's very well balanced. I love how those girls aren't scared of the high notes. Great job guys!
Arnold Sevier Is My Piano Instructor, friend,And Uncle! I will gladly tell him That You All Love his arrangement! God Bless! I have A Arrangement of The Hymn, "Sweet, Sweet Spirit" for SATB coming out! Please support.
@thefitzguy honestly, I have no idea how to get ahold of him. He directed an Honor's Choir at Lee University in Cleveland, TN that I was in a few years back. I haven't seen him since. Maybe someone at Lee University would know more??? Sorry, I'm not much help.
Great Guys. I sung with the langston university (HBCU) concert chorale and this was our signature peice under the direction of Dr. William B. Garcia. Same arrangement. Brings back good memories. Thanks!!!
