I never understand the expression - "Beautiful enough to make a grown man cry" when describing an incredibly gifted singer; until the day I first heard Jackie sing.
....... I'm speechless. I've seen/heard this at least a dozen times, and I'm still struck speechless. She can't be human. She's an angel. Absolutely beautiful!!!
This performance I like most of all of Jackies. Not only her singing touches me very much, but also everything that I see: her dress, her hair, her face, the audience, the light. The only thing I am missing is the best introduction that I have ever heard about Jackie Evancho, spoken by David Foster.

@Karen, I obviously have no "inside" knowledge, but her mother once stated on another site she practices 1hr a day and has no full time vocal coach. And again, as stated by those who are intimated aquainted with her, that is how she sounds, it is not manufactured. For reference Yvie Burnett a AGT vocal coach, "she opens her mouth and out this voice comes." But I appreciate your kind words, all the best.

*sigh* What ever happened to kids sounding like kids, instead of 40-year-old opera singers? In my opinion, this is kind of disgusting. She DOES have talent. She DOES have a beautiful voice. I do wish her the best! I'm not trying to troll, I just think that she should sound more her age.

@Karen21242 Jackie is only 11 years old. She hasn't been alive long enough to practice and be trained to sound the way she does. There is only one explanation left; her talent is God given and natural! You can practice all you want and train 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, but if you dont have the natural talent to sound the way Jackie does at 11 years old, you still wont sound as good as she does now at any point in your singing career! The reason Jackie can sing this well is not only her powerful lungs, but she has the ability to use more of her brain mass than the average person, who can only use 10%. @Karen, I obviously have no "inside" knowledge, but her mother once stated on another site she practices 1hr a day and has no full time vocal coach. And again, as stated by those who are intimated aquainted with her, that is how she sounds, it is not manufactured. For reference Yvie Burnett a AGT vocal coach, "she opens her mouth and out this voice comes." But I appreciate your kind words, all the best.

*sigh* What ever happened to kids sounding like kids, instead of 40-year-old opera singers? In my opinion, this is kind of disgusting. She DOES have talent. She DOES have a beautiful voice. I do wish her the best! I'm not trying to troll, I just think that she should sound more her age.

@Karen21242 Are you saying she is making a conscious effort to sound "40"? She herself has said she just sings and it comes out this way; that she is not manipulating her sound. In an interview she said I don't think I sound like an adult at all, I think I just sound like a kid. I'm not sure what you want her to do? And why is it disgusting?

That obviously isn't natural, it's practice and training. I don't have a problem with her age or her voice. It's the combination of the two.

@Karen21242 Jackie is only 11 years old. She hasn't been alive long enough to practice and be trained to sound the way she does. There is only one explanation left; her talent is God given and natural! You can practice all you want and train 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, but if you dont have the natural talent to sound the way Jackie does at 11 years old, you still wont sound as good as she does now at any point in your singing career! It sounds to me like you are simply jealous is all. Hmmmm

@Karen21242 I don't see how sounding like an angel is disgusting to you. Talent is being different, and excelling at something then the average person. The reason Jackie can sing this well is not only her powerful lungs, but she has the ability to use more of her brain mass than the average person, who can only use 10%. Therefore, giving her the ability for her voice to be drastically changed when she sings. Besides all the science, you could call it a gift. Appreciate the blessings god give us

You should see how unlike a kid Christina Aguilera sounded when she was YOUNGER than Jackie. And how can you describe Jackie as anything near "disgusting". @omarsauro fake? wooow did you not see her on America's Got Talent? Have you not seen all of her preformances? The reason she has the ability to sing this well is because she was born with the ability to use more of her brain mass, while the average human can only use 10%. Plus her lungs are incredibly powerful. It's proven to be possible, but unlikely. She has a gift, and people like you are too ignorant to praise it, or at the very least ACCEPT it.

@MySwagIsSwag You can't reason with the likes of @omarsauro and @Karen21242 that Jackie Evancho is extraordinary. What makes Jackie stand out is her brain. Her body is typical of that of others her age. To achieve the standard of excellence in singing, her brain is controlling her entire body to generate that amazing sound. All things being equal, Jackie Evancho is above and beyond. Mass communication technology in the 21 Century can only aid in sharing Jackie with the rest of the world.
