I'm almost not sure what to make of this. When mk9 came out, I found out the buttons were set to top row punches, bottom row kicks. I had absolutely no problem with this at default settings on the SF:anniversary stick. Had this game used the same exact layout as 1-3, maybe then I could have gone along with this.

@FirstSlayer09 Fightsticks tremendously improve the way you play fighting games .... BUT not this one though . If you have marvel vs capcom 3 or street fighter . A fightstick DRASTICALLY improves what you can do. Pretty much all fighting games are like this blaz blue , etc but mortal kombat has more lenient controls and you don't need to do crazy combos. So yes it will help a little but for mk it's mostly preference .
