My father has an Opel Astra, we we're visiting family near the Arctic circle in Norway, and we had to drive over a mountain path, there was 1 meter of snow and a very slippery road, The opel astra did not fail once, we did not even have the proper tires for such a journey, it earned a bit of my respect for that, i am looking for a new car right now, guess what i'm looking at.

By the way the Cruze is the safest in its category, with the best score in NCAP history. Your "germany car" Opel share so many parts with the Chevys, and vica-versa. @Picuj Actually, cars nowadays are better than ever, no matter which ones, but the fact is, german ones are still the best, and always will be the best. Opel doesnt share parts with Chevy, Chevy shares parts with Opel. Its a big difference. Notice how Chevy's suddenly got much better since they started using Opel parts. And same with other GM brands. Opel is a part of GM, but Opel cars are still german cars, and the difference between them and lets say, american chevy's is huge.

they should crashtest new cars at 60 mph.I know theyre safe at 40, i mean i was hit in the side by a scorpio about 30 mph in my 1991 astra and none of the four people in the car had a scratch on them, just one girl bumped the side window slightly .

@David6037 I subscribe , I drive an Opel Astra 1.4 Twinport (second).I had a pretty bad crash , the car was 86%dammaged and me and me friend not even a scratch, then I can say Im proud to drive the second Opel and I hope that 1 will have longer life the 1st .

Opel can use the Framework of the Fiat Doblo in Return ;)
