funny how the legislation on spearing is so different from state to state, scuba would be kinda like a win / lose situation though.... you are diving.... but the bubbles would scare the fish! meh, i like the fitness aspect of freediving anyway =D

LOL yea, State to state, country to country. You are right about the noise, I do heaps better free diving and I love the freedom it gives you. Sadly not all my mates enjoy / are fit enough to do it. I've ended up joining a frediving spero club so I have more buddy's to dive with :))

@takemasu45 Training, training and training. Get "used to" holding your breath and being in the ocean. Sounds kinda wierd i know. But calm down and find ways of moving that use the least energy. Dont tense you muscles when on the bottom. Relax and feel safe. That means you not using as much oxygen. There is also a device sold under the name Expand-a-lung that you can use to strenghten your lungs. Just google it and youll find it. But my main tip is to just relax and get used to the situation.

LOL cheers mate, poor stinger had only just got back into the water after a couple of years out, and this was his first experience. I am still trying to get him back in for a swim!! Didn't eat the stingray, I had fish already and couldn't doing anything as I was laughing so hard.

LOL funny as hell. We have some spots that have big rays that act like that one did from dive boats visiting them every day and feeding them. I don't mess with them ever. I have been stung twice from stepping on them in the surf at the beach. It's a really miserable experience! Love the 80's music too!

Cheers for that, Yea I'd never seen anything like it - and that was just the way stinger moved - forget about the stingray LOL. Actually, they can give you a nasty wound infection if you are not careful. I know mates who have been in hospital for 6 weeks due to a slice!! Hey Thanks for the feedback, lucky you weren't drinking something!! Man I swear I nearly drowned I was laughing so hard when this happened! Poor Stinger, this thing would not leave him alone! To make matters worse, I was in the process of burleying up a fish and they just ignored me and this half chopped up fish, there was 3 around, but 1 took special care of Stinger LOL! Glad I got it on film! Yea Skippy - 450mm nice hey came in on Stingers Burley trail. He ate a bag of chips in 10mins burley!
