What level is your evie in this video? My girlfriend and I tend to duo everything, but this battle is solo only. I'm trying to come up with a certain level range for a staff evie (The character that she plays) that would make the battle some what manageable. She really dislikes solo battles, but if I can show her how to do this one like I did when soloing red tyrant was optimal, then hopefully I can get her to do the BQ so I can xD.

@Dirus777 Erhm, I'm not ehrowntube, but, just wanted to point out that in the video you can see that the level of his or her Evie is 69, and although I don't know much about MH, the max Focus for Vindictus NA is rank C, so, if it's the same for MH, I'm assuming that's what his or her rank is[:

@Dirus777 Also, the trick to charging your focus quicker is to right-click (mouse mode) hold, and when the first bar fills (when focus level 1 finishes), you release and click again quickly for each bar. The rank of the Focus skill does not affect the speed, it's all about your own timing.

Please tell me, which one is better - a staff or a scythe (personally I like the staff more than a scythe), but with scythe there are those two great skill : a click of fingers skill and a dodge skill that makes you travel in air and avoid monsters. Also with staff there's Reverse Gravity and Mana Amber which are awesome but why there are so many people on scythes? It's better than a staff?

@VasileXY reverse gravity can be used by scythe user too :P and if u play vindictus extreme u wont have any problems with scythe cause the problem i got is that i used up too much stamina to run and could barely blink while the bosses charge on me

@VasileXY If you like both physical and magical then go scythe. Scythe's downward smash and snap finger skills are magical while normal swings and upward smash are physical. If you like pure magical, go Staff. Or if you are going to be an AP farming "hoe" then become hybrid. I'm a hybrid evie. I use both scythe and staff. I switch between them depend on my party need

@VasileXY Scythe can be used better than staff at times, it's just a play style preference The slower bosses and bosses with hiding moves, Ekinar, Weeping Queen skills like Bloody Thread and death mark become more useful. But staff is just sort of the easy mode out of all the classes. And there's no "Better weapon" Every weapon has perks and losses. For every class.

@LovesLeonSKennedy If you hold your r-mouse button it fills up slowly, but you can actually release the r-mouse button when the bar you're filling is full, click and hold the r-mouse button to fill the next, etc, etc. It is really a matter of practise, but is extremely handy, for a Staff-Evie. I cant stand standing still for too long while the enemy wants to slice you :D!!

@shadowlarkmoon i suppose this must be their epic mode which i assume is some enhanced hero mode. because our normal mode succubus has 4 bars of hp and on hard mode you can't see the hp. either that or they nerfed the succubus for us... i mean if it was a do as much as you want battle i'd be ok with it, but since its a once a day battle i want it to last...

@FBL667 If you fight the monster on Normal it has twice as much HP but does less dmg. If you fight it on hard it has normal hp but does ton more dmg to you. I have yet to play on Epic difficulty so I don't know how that one works. This may be on that difficulty.

Firebolt doesnt feel rewarding anymore. Before the revamp getting that skill off meant like 2-3 bars on a boss' hp with enough m.att. Actually took some skill to play staff evie then. Knowing how to sprint and when to sprint, seting up mines, using firebolt at the picture perfect oppurtuned moment and taking no damage for it. Granted the revamp gave her mobility, utility and survivability, there were just some things I liked doing pre-revamp that are just too easy now.

@ILUVYURI69 I'd say for PVP scythe would be better because of blink and the waiting time for attacks for staff evies to load is eh. For PVE I think staff would be better. At the moment they have phenomenal DPS and long-ranged attacks while acting as a supporting character. Eventually you can go hybrid because of the unlimited AP, may take a while though.
