Certainly a 5-star video...love the gorgeous loud thunderclaps your own high-quality camcorder picked up......and considering that Oregon averages less than 20 Tstorm days per year...you sure got a real BIG one.,... here in RI..I get very few good ones too... but my 7/28/89-Tstorm video..lotsa huge thunderclaps as well!
That was an amazing storm, I love it when you can actually hear the crack whipping sound when lightning is close by and thunder that nearly blasts you off your feet. We had a storm like that some years ago and the lightning knocked all the lights out, the tv went off and there was this funny whirring sound coming from the radio. It was awesome and I thought we had been hit straight on and my son dived out of bed thinking the gas boiler had exploded
i love lightning...except when it hits you...ouch. i used to live in texas, so i'm used 2 it, but now theres none so when we do get some thunder nd lightning, everyone freaks out and i just sit there, thinking, "wusses..."
Yea they were some pretty cool storms... the one at the begining was probably the gnarliest but I only got the end of it. Before I was recording it me and my mom tried going to taco bell but it was right in the middle of the storm and they were like closed. and when we were driving we couldnt see anything because of the rain and stuff.
lol for some odd reason I found this amusing lol. But i'm the same way when it comes to lightning, I freak out when I see it lol

Great collection of shots! The colorful skies at the beginning were spectacular - sunset thunderstorms are the best!
I wish we had more action like that around here... these storms are some of my favorite natural entertainment :-)
