Hi! I've just wrote to you to ask you for the patterns...thanks so much for sharing such a good tutorial =) Loved it...now I'm going to your website ;)
My neighbor bought what she thought was a tote bag type purse only to find that it was material and a pattern. She can't sew and asked me to do it for her. From the syntax, the instructions were written in a foreign language, possibly Chinese, and then translated. It had the notches in the bottom corners that I suspected was a box bottom but didn't know how to make and the instructions didn't mention it. Thank goodness I found your video!!
hey, I just got a Simplicity pattern for my bag. and as u may know.. pattern instructions are hard to follow! I'm so glad I did the search :) I thought the extra little part was the top! and now I know how the bottoms work on the bag... Thank you so much
I just E-mail you for the pattern...I am a bigginer and you have so inspire me thank you so much...and your daughter is so cute...I can't wait to make your bag this weekend...I will send you pics when I'm done...Thanks again...Juls
Great video, Green Lady. I have a Vogue pattern for a bag, I could never figure how to sew the bottom corners. Vogue Patterns are never explained well. But now I can sew these corners, thanks to you! Many Thanks.
i can tell ya i made one, well see. first. find ur fav tie and place it with the fat end toward u. then take another tie and pin the skinny end onto the fat end of ur middle tie. do that till all the ties are pinned but leave one for a handle. then sew all them together and sew it like a bag i guess cuz i made a bag that was big enough to hold, a twilight book so, yea i guess it shouldn't be that hard cuz im 13 and i made it last year... anyways hope that helps ^^
Loved the viedo. Looks fast and easy! Have you tired to do it without cutting the corners out? Might even be easier! I had to make a bag for a box that held my son's senior project in college (and just so you know he told me about 8pm on a Saturday when he had to have it for Monday and all the fabric stores were closed). Had to have a zipper and handle etc. Anyway, I measured how wide he needed the bag and just sewed the corners. Made a nice flat bottom with no fear the stitches would pop.

Where you do buy those large rulers from?

From Joann Fabrics or any other fabric store will have them. Michaels may too, I am not sure. Thanks for asking.
