It was played at the Resch center in Green Bay, across the street-"Oneida St." from Lambeau Field. It has to be one of the most beautiful venues in all of sports. minnesota the year before on olympic ice, and wisconsin again on their ice...such a heart breaker if you're a big red fan...of all the remaining teams to play the eventual national champion Badgers, cornell gave them the biggest run for their money...99 shots stopped combined by both goalies, 100th one went in...this video makes me so sad.

I was at this game, longest night of my life, followed by the most euphoric. It was a tribute to both teams, particularly Cornell's goalie, he stopped 59 shots before that one finally beat him.
