  • As I recall Wilber was about 15 miles south of Invermere Swansee landing area. We flew Swansee first and then drove over to Wilber which is a cliff on a small lake and it was very soarable. I was flying the Moyes Maxi III.

  • Helo

Well I was wondering if you could tell me where the wilber spot is???

    thanks

    scot

  • Is taht a Seagull seven then?

Yes the Scirocco was my flying buddy Jerome Dprey who died in December 1979 when he took off Lookout Mt. NOT hooked in.

    Thanks for all your comments.

  • Hi There, the seagull that was there I'm quite sure was a Seagull VII I flew with a few fellows with them. The bow spirit more than likely is not the Gryphon as it does not have the droop tips

  • I THINK the double surfaced glider is a Sky Sports Scirroco...One of the first "enclosed" crosspar double surfaced gliders.

    Maybe....

  • Am I seeing a seagull 9 or 10 meter here? A Cirrus?...a Raven?

  • the DS is a bowsprit which means it would have to be a Gryphon, or a Stratus(5?)or an Antares. Wish I had one of EITHER!!!!

  • Fun video, brings back fond memories. The StratusV had a wider nose angle and shorter root and tip cord. The sail resembles an Eipper design, especially the leading edge sleeve.

  • A piece of history, love the prone Quicksilver and what is the double surfaced glider?
