KeepEuropeWhite, although his name shows his views in an amusingly straightforward fashion, is correct. There are many redheads and blondes in Scotland. Not quite as many redheads as in Ireland, but there's a lot. It's a recessive gene in my family for one thing, perhaps my beard would grow in red.
MY brother was in one of those I was a highland dancer so I didnt dance here but still am so wowed that the bagpipes are the only instrament that I cant play perfectly
some one in afganistan should get bagpipes and play them while in a battle with the taliban and to stand up and play them and shout at the end come on then u bastards
it's great!, i'm from argentina, but i love england , ireland and scotish , because thats countryes are very quiet, and in argentina is all very wrong , oh i don't know if i'm speaking very well in english , i do the i can, sorry !
LOL. Are you kidding? Bagpipes cost at least 800 pounds if you want anything that isn't worthless junk. It's like paying 20 p and thinking you will get silk, then get sandpaper. Also, the same is true with kilts. A full suit that isn't made of trash is at least near 1 grand.
yeah you are right. but i went to Edinburgh 3 weeks ago and bought a kilt right from there, which cost me £70. it might not be the best but does the job. but bagpipes started from £300. i dont know the quality of them but it looked as they r alright.
@eranjenes It has tae have a really tight sew! ( these days the neoprene is goin right ) and alltogether is a LOTS far from 300 quid ! I learned me lesson from ebay ( grrr) ! Please Learn M8 we need millions more "PIPERS"
That looks remarkably like when Ive seen the Kirkudbright band with some canadian pipers joining them to boost their bands ability at the Gatehouse of fleet gala week on bangers and beer night, great band though, always have loved piper bands, what name is theirs?
'Black Irish' are the supposed ancestors of Spanish sailors who were shipwrecked around the coast of Ireland after the failure of the Spanish Armada, 1588.
Local communities were said to have taken these sailors in & protected them. They married local girls and their ancestors became known as the 'Black Irish' because of their physical Spanish appearance.
Offically most of the Spanish Sailors were handed in for reward or killed. The story is a bit of a myth but a good story all the same!
@edelgran24 why we like iltalians too thank you and you have a good day by the way I wish to have REAL pancetta could you send me some lad I would really appreciate it
the only reason irish and scottish people had red hair and beards is because back when there was vikings....the vikings raped the irish and scottish women...irish people originally had black hair...hence the name "black irish"

Fucking Celtiberian scum, you "black irish". The true Celts, the men who traveled across Europa from the Danube river to Brythonia and eventually Pictavia, were red-bearded. The "black irish" are descended from disgusting filth who stayed in the Iberian Peninsula and lived like inbred swines.
I think that it is safe to say that almost every culture though out the world has something that you can trace to someone else's culture, the key is to do something a little different to it to make it your own.
1herp1 spare your backbone. Grassingtongreen, my point is that if your going to make a blanket statement, be prepared to back it up with facts, and then in true you tube tradition have those facts challenged.
Ok grassingtongreen tell us about the 'kilt and tartan', most of us know the roots of the bag pipe,(But you will already know there is only one Highland bag pipe).I am a Scot born and raised, living in the US, and I wouldn't dream of proposing that apple pie wasn't American
Grassington's correct. The earliest mention of bagpipes was by the Greek, Anstophanes. Later the Roman, Suetonius made reference to bagpipes. It wasn't until the 14th century that bagpipes were mentioned in Scottish history.
it wasant invented in scotland but the modern day bagpipe that everyone knows about was developed in scotland. and the erliest mention was also in egypt. How the hell can he say kilts arnent even scottish. Grassingtongreen cleary has his head up his ass
They were actually worn in Ireland before Scotland. Many stone carvings exist from before the 11th century that depict Celts in Ireland wearing kilts. No evidence exists in Scotland that are as early as this
So you disregard the truth if it upsets your distorted view of reality? He's right, kilts were worn in Ireland before Scotland. Anyway what normal man would want to wear a skirt that looks like it belongs to his granny?
I don't want to piss on your parade but apple pie isn't American. The earliest mention of apple pie was noted by Chaucer in England in 1381. The English colonies in America were the source of its popularity in America.
Other than a bad 'f' the overall sound was good (grade level?)The pipe corps deportment is good just one drummer on the back left looked a little too relaxed.
The staff is called a mace and is carried by the drum Major, the pipe major is usually in the first line of pipers on the right, sometimes the pipe major will march on the right separate from the others but in the front line, cheers.

Its name is "kilt".. you know why?... Because many people got KILT when called it a skirt !!
And by the way.. it's quite expensive.. a good one would cost you around 500 $
