I keep coming back to Iracing again and again, but have never tried it.

I've got a reasonable dual core pc with 4 gig ram and gtx260, also run at 1920x 1080 which is taking its toll on newer games.

Could anyone tell me if this would run well? I'm gonna be using my G25 and TrackIR - which really needs a game running at 60+ fps

is there a demo of some sort i could try?

@salomon2razor There's no demo, I just bought 3month license for 12$ and I dont regret. Although still I feel more involved in the action in LFS.

iRacing is hands down the best racing simulator/game out! I've always enjoyed watching them add to it always growing development. I think it is a good idea to add this as the Solstice was always a bummer IMO.

I'm diggin it. This should be a nice improvement over the solstice. And about people trying the solstice and then quitting.... that's their loss. They've no idea what they're missing. Iracing is a simracing junkies' wet dream.

This is great. I have raced in the current Mk1 MX5 series & also have run many drivers in it (I am a driver coach). We are looking at racing in the MX5 Cup in 2011. I will actually be racing a Mk1 in the MX5 Cup on 30th Oct @ Donington Park).

I am one of Iracings toughest critics.

This car looks terrific. If it drives like it looks it will increase iracings member base better then any other road track car.

fIRST opinion is the most important and my bet is alot of people were so discouraged by the crappy slowstice they did not buy any more cars or just quit.

If this car drives like the real life car iracing wil have a huge hit on there hands, a more important hit then the f1 car. I will re -sub just to try it.

Ah this car looks great, can't wait to paint it. As a Miata owner, I'm very excited for this.... the Solstice was always my favorite car, so hopefully this get's people interested in this class of racing for a little while.

Wander if the two versions will have differences in performance like the coupe will have lower drag but the roadster will have better handling because of lower center of gravity.

Plus this car is designed for rookie which this series is supposed to have slower car and 150 mph for a mazda, it's not that bad.

Whats wrong with the Solstice Advanced/SCCA Spec when you hit Rookie 3.0 SR? I could see if it was a different type of race car but the Pontiac is the same type, they only category rookie car iRacing doesnt have is open-wheeled, if they made a rookie open-wheeled that would be fine, BUT COME ON 2 Standard Type Car Rookie cars?

@iwatchyouburn I just think iRacing should be working on other more important things, tracks, MORE night races, maybe drag racing, dirt racings, rally, etc...I dont see how cars about the same specs(about same hp, both FWD, ~same wieght) is more important and how it would really even drive THAT MUCH different? @killerbng iRacing has different department and the people that makes the cars are not the same people that makes the tracks.

Yes I want improvements but we don't have to forget that iRacing is a business and in order to run for a long long long time they must make money.

Also it's too early way too early to talk about drag racing, rally, dirt when there is already tons of works needed already on the current iracing version plus rally and drag racing are a completly another divisions

This isn't a game catered to please the masses with useless features such as night racing. Although that may be a neat addition.

I would NOT like to see drag racing or rally in a simulator that focuses on road racing and tracks with turns.

The MX-5 is RWD not FWD and if you pay attention or when you get better at driving, you will feel how different cars with similar specs handle in the iRacing. Too many people think it's all about the numbers.

About calling the Miata a "POS" car... You obviously do not see the point in iRacing. Just as in real racing, it's all about the driving, 10% the car. There's a reason why there are SO many Miatas on the track in real life.

@killerbng The MX5 will replace the solstice, so no its won't be useless. The power to weight ratio is better by nearly 30% so I don't see how its the same, its a lot closer to the mustang than the solstice. The center of gravity being a lot lower will make it more fun to drive, and the suspension seems to be hardened by a lot.

Anyway you're talking about things that you don't understand so stop trolling and go play F1 2010 :)
