@dathebikweer it interpoles the frame movement and kinda looks like when your seeing through a prism. in AE, motion blur really creates a linear blur like when you're shooting images with low shutter speed

Wrong in multiple ways.

1. Sony Vegas is not interpolating. Those are just after-images being displayed, not motion blur.

2. After Effects IS interpolating. Do you even know what interpolation is?

3. Prisms... I'm not even going to try going into that.

But why do you keep saying "we've" when it doesnt fit in the sentence you're using.

its either "we HAVE several effects" or "we've used several effects" (past tense) and since you dont mean the 2nd one it is "we HAVE" not "we've"... using that in this sentence doesnt make sense...

Anyways, not a bad tutorial, though the first 45 seconds or so is pretty much boring.

you can blur only a person by different way, the best is masking

well or, if you're recording a game, for example CS, you could record with mIRV Demo Tool to allow you to make the map green, using pan/crop in vegas you'll be able to see just the model, then add a second layer where you record from the exact same angle, and make a double layer, and just blur one of 'em.

Try cookie cutter on the finger. That way, you have one clip blurred on top of the normal one and use cookie cutter to make the blurred finger show up on top of the normal finger :D
