  • My Aussie did the exact same thing the first time she saw snow!! It was the funniest thing! She wasn't sure of it at first, so when she went down the stairs, she wouldn't let her back feet touch, so she went down 3 stairs on only her front paws. Too funny! They're such AMAZING dogs!!

Oh, and I just have to say... I love their constant smile (like at the end of your video). How can you not just love a face like that? Lol

  • So cute!

  • He is so cute!

  • Awwww <33 What a sweetheart. My dog Parker looooved the snow, but he was so tiny when it first snowed and it snows so darn much here that he would tend to just disappear! Haha, very cute dog. <3 I loooove Aussies

  • awesome dog!!!!! :)

  • Have any idea why he was attacking the snow?

  • Great video! Our Aussie will be meeting snow next year sometime! Will have to try to get it on video too!

  • He's all like "Wtf mate?" :D

  • My blue merle aussie, Darling, got to see snow for the first time ever this year too. She loved it so much she kept kicking off her shoes!

  • @evildemon12394

Small item. Riley is a boy. lol. And I can't wait to get video of his little brother the first time he sees snow! Coming as soon as there's snow!

  • @blkout76 sounds like that will be exciting for his little brother

  • lol shes killing the snow

  • Loved this! so funny watching him with the snow. What a beautiful face!

  • haha i had a blue merle aussie and she LOVED THE SNOW! she would run around sticking her face in it :)

  • How much do you have to excersise him a day?

  • @LuvPinkTwizzler

I take him out once or twice a day for a good run in the backyard. I've built a few pieces of agility gear and combine that with a little frisbee and he's spent in about 10 - 15 minutes of that. Also, obedience and trick training are essential for a well behaved and happy aussie!

  • Funny how he jumps :D

  • The way he jumps is so cute and funny. :)

  • Haha this was cute! :)

  • absolutely beautiful!

  • I want an Australian Shepherd so bad. I have no idea where to even look to buy a puppy. *sniff* :(

On the other hand, WOW yours is beautiful and cute : )

  • @MariahmR We found our breeders in the thrifty nickel, and we just asked a few important questions, went out to see their breeding facilities, got our paperwork that was needed, and interacted with our puppy before we got her.

  • @MariahmR We loved that they kept her until she was 8 weeks old, rather than the usual 6 weeks that is customary here. She is a smart and beautiful dog, though, due to her color, she is not confirmation, and we are teaching her to work cattle and chickens. She learned her basic obedience during the first two weeks!!!

  • I want an aussie sssssssssoooooooooooo BAD!!!!!!!

  • lol 'WTF IS THIS SHIT?!' *dig dig* WHERES THE GROUND?!!! X3

  • he is like, I don't understand what is this stuff?

  • He looks EXACLTY like our Toy Australian Shepherd Ivan markings and all just much bigger =)

  • very pretty dog! we have 2 miniature australian shepherds.. they are 12 weeks old

  • hes like OHHHHHHHHHHHHH SQUISHY !!!!

  • hes like OHHHHHHHHHHHHH SQUISHY !!!!

  • hes like OHHHHHHHHHHHHH SQUISHY !!!!

  • my aussie cattle dog loves snow too. he can't get enough of it

  • Awwe :) so cuute

  • Love this breed!

  • Oh that's so adorable and hilarious!

  • so funny

  • That's hunting behavior! If you ever see a fox or a young wolf hunting for a rabbit or mouse that is under the snow, that is exactly what they do! They scratch at the snow, wait and listen, then pounce to crush the snow barrier to get to the rabbit or mouse...talk about instinct!

  • omg. soo cute. <3

  • Love it! I remember my Aussie's first bite of snow - I laughed for days. They are so curious and bright. Most dogs wouldn't care, but an Aussie wants to know everything about his world. Best breed. And yours is just so handsome - oh I'm so jealous. Lucky you!

  • i have an aussie mix and his name is buddy and he acts the exact same way when it snows it kinda funny to watch him. he just runs around in circles, then stops and scratches at the snow like crazy, then he licks the snowballs off his coat that i throw at him=)

  • LOL this is sooo cute and friggin hilarious! :) great video

  • Look at that smile! What a smart cutie pie. My girl Josie is an aussie mix, she gets to doing that bunny hopping when she's intrigued by things, too :).

  • my aussie is named riley too. shes 2 years old and sees plenty of snow hp here in buffalo

  • beautiful dog :)

  • Good looking Aussie!!

  • You know when he/she jumps? Isn't that what foxes do when they're looking for rabbits?? o_0

  • thats what a lot of animals do when they hunt for things in snow they try to cave in the burrows

  • this is the cutest video hands down

  • Oooh! Oooh! What is this stuff??? It's cold and wet and white, and there's tons of it!!! OOOOHHH!!! I can dig it up like dirt, but I don't get dirty!!! Aww, now it's on my nose and now I'm sneezing!!!
