The insurance co's are a small part of the problem. The real problem is the COSTS. In Canada and Europe, doctors and specialists make a fraction of what U.S. physicians make. I guess you are claiming that Love is nothing more than biologically driven altruism searching for reciprocity. You have not explained the criteria you use for determining worth, only that biological diversity is worth more than human prosperity (why?) You reject even the intrinsic value of human Life.

The insurance companies ruined the best parts of the health insurance reform bill. We need the public option. Maybe in the next two years, after the the November elections, the Dems will finally pass it. There are millions of Americans without any health insurance, and more every day as people lose there jobs. Is this the America you want to live in??? But the Republicans quickly voted to spend more billions to get our young people killed in the fake war.

I'm surprised (well, not too surprised) that not a lot of media outlets mentioned the millions of dollars that the health care industry pumped into congress. Republican politicians were going ape shit in Washington while this bill was passed. there were grown men and women holding up picket signs and inciting high school-esque chants from the clueless masses below them. I guess hollywood isn't the only place people get paid a ton of money to act...

In France healthcare is mostly gratis since 1945, and since most of the governments has been conservative (except for 20 years).
For us social security isn't a communism idea, all political sides struggle to maintain it. In France the right to healthcare is the same as the right of free expression.
Yes, it's cost a lot (we payed by taxes, for me 12% of my 2009 salary), yes there are cheats, but today the biggest problem is aging.
Obama project is more like our destitute healthcare systems
