To understand the film you really had to be there at the time, i was a kid in the 80s and this movie was awesome. Sadly looking at it now it's aged a lot and becuase of what happened to Michael's personal life, the story with the kids has turned into a joke. Still, i love the montages, the Smooth Criminal video is classic and i guess there's some crazy badassery in the Micheal Transformer! And at the end of the day, this movie is for the FANS, who will always enjoy it no matter what. RIP MJ.

@michaelforthriller It's possible for people to be crazy and a legend at the same time. Hell, being a legend almost requires you to be crazy. As for this movie: As a movie, it's not great. As a celebration of Jackson it is. The NC rates it as a movie, and as such is underwhelmed (except for the best music video of all time). If he rated it as a clebration of jackson it wouldn't be recieving as much sarcasm. And you have to admit, this movie is pretty damn wierd.

Anyone who doesn't really know Jackson well might even think that this movie is the craziest musical / cartoon movie . but i think for the fans is a fun and well put together tribute to Michael Jackson but when this came out in the 80's it was a huge hit cause of the visual effects that were excellent for it's time.

I don't know about you but I love the Alient Ant Farm version. It's a good band and as far as covers go I think they did well and I felt he was unreasonably harsh on it. Yeah if you compare MUSIC VIDEOS, obviously Michael Jackson's wins but as far as music goes I think AFF did a decent job. But I don't maybe it's because I like rock more or the fact I can actually understand AAF's version better. That's the only thing I really disagree with him about but this was a good review.
