  • Someone should tell the chick on the chest press machine to stop using her neck so much when she presses. Also fat has no metabolic rate, because it is a form of stored energy. Your metabolic rate has to do with a combination of hormones, overall muscle mass, and activity level. What a lot of people should know is that circuit strength training is actually more effective than cardio at fat burning too. But yes; strength training is the most important component of your workout.

  • @mzbraintard I don't really think that women should train differently from men. Many women I know are concerned with becoming too muscular, but the truth is that it is very difficult for most women to put on a lot of muscle, especially when you're on a restricted diet. As long as you don't eat more than you burn it won't be an issue. If you're looking for a good video series I highly recommend P90X. Also look up Charliejames1975 on Youtube. She has some good ones as well.

  • Finally an educated health specialist video. Good to hear someone who knows about metabolic rates. Vastmuscle (.com) is written by exercise and nutrition experts and has delivered results. I used it in college and had great results.
