I place these under intermediate. They do pretty well, they aren't the best hats but they work and sound just fine in live and studio situations. Recently I've been buying used stuff on ebay cheeply and you can really find some great stuff lightly used on ebay, so I think I might get a pair of A customs when I'm done with these
