  • I WISHED IF THE MANGLORE AIR CRASH THE VIDEO HAD BEEN TAKEN FOR BETTER PROOF

  • this pilot....i take my hat off to you well done

  • should introduce traffic lights for birds in the air :P

  • why not just kill birds near airports? at least the big ones because I'd rather see dead birds than dead people

  • @BlackHawk2669 the stupidity in this one are overwhelming.

  • @pwnstoohard what do you mean?

  • how could the controller send a message to his wife saying he had a crash and that hes not ok and he doesnt want to talk about it?? What wife going to feel at that point, husband has this shit going on and he wont let her help. yeah yeah i know he was afraid he would break down but still

  • if its not a boeing, im not going

  • @MrEraViola Idiot

  • Canadian Geese are a nuisance, they shit up the grass in the parks, ponds, beaches and golf courses here in NYC. Unfortunately this area is a year round habitat for them and the have little to no natural predators anymore.

  • just like a Fairy tail.......!!

  • Well, there's only one solution for the safety of commercial aviation.. ELIMINATE ALL BIRDS.

jk, btw. I don't want any PETA members freaking out.

  • @asingleverse "ALL"M oh come on, i love to hear "swearing parrot" and play with ducks.

  • Have you ever known that your my hero your everything I'd would like to be I can fly higher then a Eagle because you are the wind beneath my wings

  • That Goose is cooked

  • @BrownSound777 If the plane had taken off just a few seconds sooner or later they may not have hit the birds. If the flight crew had chosen a slightly different path or the winds had changed they may not have hit the birds. "Events" don't necessarily mean "mistakes" or "problems".

  • @BrownSound777 I think it should be stressed that FATAL crashes are ALMOST never the result of a single event.

  • I love the pilots voice lmao

  • True respect for Pilot's precise conversation and professional behavior with Co-Pilot and Flight Controller during emergency, but with the Passengers he should have atleast said a few more words to make them prepare for impact.

  • @shanky2609 That is what the flight attendants are trained for. When the captain tells the passengers via intercom to brace for impact, it is then up to the attendants to start issuing instructions for doing so. The pilot, obviously, needed his full concentration on what he was doing to ditch that plane in the Hudson River, as it is very rare that a water landing is successful.

  • airbus is a great plane

  • EPIC upload thanks! Watching this in 720pHD is incredible! Too bad Sully wasn't on this episode.

  • hey i relised that there isnt a 44:50 it skips!

  • I was in that plane and i am not joking i live in new york and i cant belive i survived that. I thought i would die . It is really hard to sleep cause its scary its just i dont knoe frightning but that capitan i owed him his life!

  • @janinaman I was also aboard Cactus 1549. You may recall, I was the "Jive" translator!!

  • @CounterCultureLives : Oh Cool :D Least Im alive haha...

  • @janinaman Now'jus haaaaang looooose blood..... de'mama gonna' catch'ya on de'rebound wit'da lifejackets!!!"

  • @CounterCultureLives ; LOL :D

  • You can't say Chesley Sullenberger is the man enough! It's not possible...

  • poor birds they should invent something to let pilots know their birds around thm cause birds have more of a right to be in the sky than a plain or pilot has they were born to fly. It not the birds fault after all.

  • these birds should also have their own radar to monitor if a plane is coming towards them or flying behind to pass them. good job to the pilot!

  • They forgot to push the DITCH button , They didn't mention that .

  • they had the only airplane that's part boat and can gingerly float like that lol

  • This is what you call a hero.

  • I loveee this nararator !!

  • captain sullenberger is an inspiration for me and i bet for all the other pilots. this is a true eg. of team work.

  • Hunting should be encouraged in the world. It would give us pilots, as well as the general public a safer aerospace environment.

  • best show on discovery, air crash investigation

  • I guess Sully didn't want to appear on this show

  • @silvereagle2061 No, we don't see Capt. Sully, but we do get to hear Captain Jeff's accounting of The Saga of Cactus 1549. The world has shown Captain Sully well deserved accolades and adulation, but Captain Jeff was every bit as much a part of this victory.

  • I know it must be hard to think of what to do in those circumstances but those passengers should have known the procedure. Anyone that flies should already know the brace position and floatation locations. Most of it is part of the safety briefing.

Also, shame on that guy for having his phone turned on :)

Great work by the pilot and first officer though.

  • Why did that narration call them General Electric engines? I thought Airbus uses Rolls Royce engines.

  • @dunbar9finger Not on all their aircraft, Airbus A320 has 3 possible manufactured engines, none of them are Rolls Royce.

  • Comment removed

  • Airbus builds very sturdy airplanes, but none can truly float like a boat. And Rolls Royce did not design engines with them thinking of a collision with birds. The birds completely destroyed the engines and robbed them of air. Great landing.

  • I fly the same type of aircraft, Airbus 320. Cpt Sully's performance was extremely professional - same goes for the First Officer. Sully's genious move was to skip the emergency checklist and start by switching the APU on. That probably saved them!

  • It seems like they were trying awful hard to find a way to call it pilot error!

  • @invitation2die agreed, I don't like the way the NTSB tried to criticize Sully's actions. I'd like to see them do the same thing.

  • @invitation2die One thing I did notice: This was not the same "Crash Position" that we saw in the movie "Airplane".

Another thing I noticed; The narrator stated that the AirbusA320 was worth $75 million. According to Captain Sullenberger, the Airbus was only worth a little over $60 million.

    Hollywood!!

  • @invitation2die NTSB was in a very precarious position here. They had to conduct a very thorough investigation; not for the purpose of fault-finding, but rather from the standpoint of trying to learn from what happened, and hopefully prevent a re-occurrence.

What I still don't understand is how they managed to move the aircraft from the Hudson, and moved it through the streets.

  • @invitation2die nah it was bird error.

  • An incredible ditching success. We know how most ditches turn out :(

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • Rip birds

  • Many lives were lost in this accident. The lives of those brave birds will not be forgotten. :)

  • bad actors, like usual

  • The crew are areal American heroes and heroines.

  • Short hop to Charlotte? It's 700 miles!

  • Damn Canadian geese!

  • @Mrparrot73 Yeah and the poop all over the runways.

  • its simple the birds are mad .They feel threaten for millions of years they have rule the air now planes are taken over and they are fighting back.

  • Thank you Airbus!!

  • @damith77 Yeah right dude. The plane saved them.

  • wow. the small birds does not like the big bird.........

  • i'm new at learning what plane is what so is this a DC-10?

  • @jackthayer No it's not. It's an Airbus A320

  • why did the engines continue to make noise after they had quit? and when sully pulled the throttles, the sound got louder and higher, not quieter and lower

  • @jfsa380 How do you know they did that? I didn't here that in the video.

  • @KCBOYZ1307 oh, 6:49, apparently it was on the starter but it would not make NEARLY that much noise.

  • @jfsa380 The APU has to be started in order to start the engines, also because it was their only power source at the time, it must have beem that even though it's in the tail. It's either the APU being started or the engines, the both sound the same from the inside.

  • @KCBOYZ1307 hmm, thanks, good to learn something every day

  • @jfsa380 Haha no problem

  • Awesome :)Greetings syedNO7.

  • Spectacular as usual
