Oh my god. I go from watching your sonic 2006 lp and crying at how horrible the game was to seeing this and thinking "God DAMN that's pretty!" It looks like it controls really well, they fixed that stupid mach speed area by just making you sidestep, even the voice acting's decent...I never played it, but I really hope they keep this up.

if you get all the red rings in the whole game you can play all the levels in game land and once you have played all the sonic simulater mini game you unlock super sonic and you can only play super sonic in levels (COLLECT 50 RINGS)

I've just completed this game earlier. (completed as in the final level. Not done everythign in it. Just like I consider MoF compelted despite still having one more stage to go through.)

Also, do the cube (blue) wisps remind anyone else of a certain time machine in its appearance?

You can just mash A when it prompts you during those jumps. That's what I do and it never fails.

@LegendarySock His name has always been Eggman. Translation problems back then prevented his name from being sucessfully translated, so that's why he got a different name in English-speaking countries. In fact, Sonic's Japanese name literally translates to "Sonic the Needlemouse".

Furthermore, yes, the Japanese word for hedgehog is "harinezumi", which literally translates to "needlemouse". But good translations are NOT literal. Translating "hari-nezumi" into "needle-mouse" is as stupid as translating "hedge-hog" into "shrub-pig". :-P

Why did they prerender the cutscenes? Nothing in them look they couldn't be pulled off in real-time and look super compressed and jaggie.

@jakesbrain All of them ARE prerendered using the game engine, the complete lack of load times when playing them is a dead giveaway along with  compression artifacts. The scenes aren't any special and they would have easily been pulled off in realtime on the Wii I guess Sonic Team wanted to avoid load times whenever possible.

I actually played Sonic Colors and it is probably my favorite Sonic game in recent memory. Like, since Sonic Adventure 2. They did a lot right in this game. There are a few issues I had (like the music) but the gameplay was solid. I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it. :D
