No, he only destroyed Installation 04, and the Ark, the Ark was simply the control center for all the rings, the rings themselves are still active, and can be activated manually, one fired triggers them all, the Ark was also the construction site for all the rings, so no new rings can be made, but six still remain, enough to fry most of the galaxy.

If they ever make a Halo movie I hope and pray that it will not fail like most video game movies (Bloodrayne, Resident Evils 1 and 2, Doom, Mortal Kombat 1 and 2, etc.) but if the movie was actually modeled after the game it would have great potential to be a hit
