The way he talks to Christina may seem mean but in a twisted and sorted way it helps her be more humane if that makes any sense. He expects and wants better, not just from her but from everybody. He's sensitive to his patients due to his Iraq experience. He was not necessarily being "mean", but just wanting her to wake up, be more sensitive, to realize these are human beings too. He came off as mean, cause he was angry and frustrated at her perceived insensitivity.
So good and sooo funny! He has been really great to watch lately! I am a McManly girl as opposed to a McDreamy or a McSteamy girl, but I could be swayed if they keep writing for him like they have recently. :)
