  • Nice video! Hey I was just wondering aside from the egg patterns that were obvious was that a brown beadhead woolybugger that you were stripping slow and was that weight above it or a second fly? I watched the Ontario tribs video and have caught some of those monster browns in the fall...i actually recognize one spot you were fishing. I am looking for a big brookie this year..its my goal. The last one was real nice...a football. Nice video. Let me know about the Woolybugger.. Thanks!

  • @walkletcs hey there thanks for the Sub! I generally fish a bead egg above either a starlite leech or seal bugger. Sometimes I do use weight, other times I don't. it kind of depends on depth. I will tell you that the egg is very much an attactor and helps to incite strikes with the bigger tailing fly, but weight can be used in this tandem for sure. Obviously just need to get it into the strike zone. Hope that helps! Good luck on a big Brookie!

  • Spent last July in Colorado, first time back since the early 90's. It was truly the best month of my life as fishing goes. As a kid I found my love of fly fishing one summer somewhere near Boulder. As an adult, I found myself in total awe of the experience. Brilliant ecosystems full of life and color, a trout mans treasure... Great vid, u lucky dawg!

  • Excellent work my friend! Love those "Blue Cheek-Butter Ball-Browns! Those Brilliant-Toothy-Brookies are awesome as well! Very solid vid that's well worth watching. -trouttrek-

  • Great video Lee. I especially like those brookies, but that big hog brown is hard to beat. That big brown has some interesting coloration on his gill plates.

  • @mrsockeye I call them the Blue Cheeks. I've noticed that a lot of the bigger browns take on hues of blue. It is mostly found in the head area and the gill plates.

  • great video I'm green with envy
