It seems to me from what I'm reading, this is an automatic? If so, I think your numbers are just fine! I have a 04gt same color, but 5 speed. Buying a 02gt yellow automatic for my wife.. Love mustangs!!
@Fizano55 : These are RWHP numbers, not Crank numbers. Car comes stock with 260 HP to the crank, which equates to roughly 221 RWHP. Why would I pull numbers off of a website when I had my car on a dyno??!!

I just had my car on the dyno this past saturday, and ran 260 rwhp and 302 rwtq. My Mods are Mac Long Tubes, Mac O/R Prochamber, Mac Mufflers, FRPP Alum D/S, Centerforce DF Clutch, 78 mm Plenum & TB and a K&N CAI. Before my L/T's I ran 238 and 278. Gained 22 hp and 24 tq. @ralatorre9 an Auto transmission in general will give you less hp numbers due to drivetrain loss which is greater in an auto compared to a manual.Now if you want consistancy than an auto is the way to go.

hey whats up man, i'm from lincoln to. the shop is a good place to go, there rilly good at what thay do. i'll be going back there for a dyno tune when i get my 3.73gears and my ex270ah cams put on my 01 bullitt. i'm hoppen to put down some good #'s with all my mods. after i do that i'm going to put some borla stingers on it, to go with my BBK long tube heads and O/R H pips. do you do alout of driven around down Ost?

how does it do 225hp when it comes with 260hp stock i dont get that. 220hp is what 96-98gt make thats kinda uh ......bad. but hey nice car that gt should be making 260stock
@96stang2Fst4U Dude, theres a difference between ENGINE horsepower (which ford advertises) and what a DYNO measures at WHEELS. Wheel horsepower is between 12 and 18 percent less that what the engine makes because of drivetrain loss (ex transmission and rear end to wheels). Your 96 makes about 185 RWHP.

yea but the mustangs have more personalizing options. i would drive a chevy myself but when i drove the stang the lack of grip and factory sound sold me on it. yes lack of grip is more fun. and i later found out theres a ton of custom parts available. so i love my car even tho i would lose to a chevy. soo basically stop talking smack about our fords. because all it takes is money
so what it sounds beastly and its more fun to drive a car that can slide around anyways. there are plenty of options to modify the suspension if your not happy with it. i think that the chevys are better factory performing cars but gearheads would like to change everything anyways so the stang does well. plus the ladies like stangs

The reason numbers are low because this was done on a "MUSTANG" dyno not a "DYNOJET"
