@brokenranger1 that was my mistake... I thought I would never play the game, so i figured that i would just watch then anime instead. about 4 months later i found it in a gamestop. (-_-) so, basically the whole game waas spoiled for me (I still loved it though!) you should wait for the 3ds. the anime goes REALLY fast. (i think when you are on episode 9 of the anime its like equivalent to 15 hours into the game). the anime is good, but there's nothing like playing it for the first time.

@12markinlove12 Not really. Even if the words are different, does it really matter if the point gets across? Sure, there are some pretty terrible dubs out there, but I personally don't like reading subs. Why should I read barely understandable subs that disappear too quickly when I can listen to it in my own language? Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Eater dubbed pretty well. Same with Gundam 00. Gundam SEED was terrible, but that was the only one that I thought was unwatchable.

@heliosis01 That taken from your prospective, Generally yes its a good thing that dubs are there I don't have a problem with that, (My opinion on dubs has changed since 5 months ago). But taking them from my point of view where I like to hear the original characters voices rather than have an otherlay of a fan's voice, gets to me. But at the end of the day I spoke open mindedly about it and to be honest I kind of regret posting comments such as these. Lol, both are good.

Though you have a point, I just want to add a little detail.

Games and Animes don't have real actors in them, so you shouldn't call the japanese one the original one.

The japanese dub them too, though they are often better. The charakter itself has no voice.

While I do agree that Naruto sucks, all of these are your personal opinions, its better to keep them to yourself. I enjoy Tales of games much more than Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasies as well, but I can't agree that those two games are worthless. They still took up my time and I enjoyed playing them, albeit not as much as all the Tales of games.

If you want an exceptionally good RPG go look under Shin Megami Tensei instead, personally I think those are better.

Yeah, Namco likes to put references from their other games. There is a lot of references in Abyss. All of Anise's doll accessories, and in Nam Combada Isle (I could be wrong on the spelling) you can find Lloyd's standard costume.

Both Symphonia and Abyss have there strengths and weaknesses, I personally like the story just a lil more in Symphonia, but the characters are a lot more likable and developed in Abyss. But I love both so I can't complain :)

See, I don't dislike it because it's Japanese. I love foreign music. I'm one of the few people that honestly dislike it because I don't think the singer is very good.

@Nejitard2 No way will I thumb you down! We all have different thoughts on things. For sometime until I finished TOS the first time I knew nothing about the Japanese versions of these games. I felt somewhat deprived, but I understood that the English version would want to do something special, along with adding all those awesome special features. I just prefer the original music and singing in the openings, I feel as if they add special meaning.

The DS is the handheld console more sold in the history of videogames which doesn't strictly mean it's better. I would rather get the PSP becuse it's not only a videogame but has many other features (music, video...). I have a DS and I have to say I have been waiting for a good RPG and it hasn't arrived yet so if you like RPG's get the PSP. Unless you're a Pokemon fan of some sort.

Well what do you expect? They can't so much bring the original since then they would have fees from the band that did the song. And they probably wouldn't have had the lyrics translated since it probably would've lost it's effect and not everyone who plays the game understands japanese. I'm happy they at least broke the usual route and instead brought the original japanese version song however subtly.
