Alright, fair enough. I was home schooled for a year because I hated the college I went to, though technically I was passed compulsary education.

You claim you weren't being pedantic, but I think you were. He created his video as a casual description of the British eduacation system for Americans. He didn't claim to be reading from a statute book or listing legislation. I appreciate that his statement was wrong and could be misleading, but dangerous? I think it is widely known you can be home schooled in the UK if you want to be, if he is misleading people, should they be turning to youtube for information on educating their child anyway?

I appreciate your point, but I must disagree; I have encountered many people who formulate their views based on hearsay, rumour and poorly informed informants and I have encountered many people convinced that home-education is illegal. The ability to opt out is a major aspect of any system and while I appreciate that he was not wilfully deceiving and has no harmful intentions I maintain that it is important to correct such errors wherever one discovers them.
