making mario shot fire balls is almost impossible it would take almost 1mil lines of coding just to make them shoot and it would take alot more for the fading away and stuff like that.... ive tried.....

Yeah, you need to choose somthing that is already in the game and combine codes to make different effects

Yeah you could like make Mario spawn a bullet like from a shy guy when you press B or a snowball from a snowman, and then change the graphics of it to fire. I guess it wouldn't really burn enemies then, but it would probably be possible to change the behavior of that item to burn instead of just do damage.
