This looks awesome, a really beautiful shot. I was wondering what the advantage of projecting all the textures onto geometry has over baking the textures to the geometry. Also would baking the textures make for a faster lighter scene to work with in Nuke.

Buildings and camera projections are created in Maya, then we export everything directly in Nuke with a script.( camera, textures and .obj mesh )
Then we comp with Nuke using the 3D space of the soft.
It's a little bit eavy so Linux is a plus.....

Were all the buildings textured using projection? Or were they textured in a 3D app?
