I can say that those roads in the smokies could make some of the best rally tracks in the world. For those from the UK check out the blue ridge parkway and other roads in the Cherokee National park. You can check them out on street view. I had a complete blast driving these roads and I was being safe !

I find it amusing that this sport is not popular in the U.S. It has all of the best aspects of the Dukes of Hazard ! Jumps, high speed on Dirt roads and crazy wrecks. It certainly was not the witty script and dialog that make the show popular in America. It was the cars, jumps and the wrecks. But NOOO. Pepoe want to watch cars go in a fucking circle for 12 hours !!! Just returning from cruising the great smokie mountains in an eclipse spyder convertable (weak but damn nimble)

@helvetikko - Technically, they're faster due to them being lighter. They even said that the stage times coming from the new WRC cars are faster than what the previous generation of WRC cars did.
